UPDATED: APR 30, 2021 Clear carmine liquid with a golden sheen. Apples, but also a solvent-like background smell, bit sharpish. Drier than regular cider. Again rather sharp dry apple flavour. Complex hints of incense, solvent and truffle. Truffle/musk very marked backthroat by swallowing. Way less sweet than the Quebec cidres de glace. Light acidic surrounding, fruity, but neither lemony, neither green apple. Light dry-out effect, faint and strange slickness at the same time. Tannins playing. Alcohol quite traceable. First impression is strange, almost chemical, but this proceeds quickly to an impressive, much more convincing complexity.

UPDATED: AUG 24, 2020 375 ml dark green and slim bottle, vintage 2017, from Être Gourmet, Belgium. ABV is 12%. Clear and deep golden to amber colour, still. Very nice and concentrated aroma of apple juice and apple skin. Very sweet and intense flavour of concentrated apple juice / apple cider, mainly from dessert apples. A fine ice cider.

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2020 Bottle. Clear amber-golden color with no head. Aroma is sweet apples, red apples, gummybears. Taste is red apples, tannic, bratapfel, a bit mealy. Oily mouthfeel, flat. Good, but not amazing!

UPDATED: FEB 26, 2019 375ml bottle. Pours clear deep amber, almost red. No carbo. Aroma is cherry, ripe apple, some wood, hints of apple vinegar. Taste is sweet, oaky, ripe apple, tannin, apple seeds and skin. Sweet dry tannin finish, apple skins. Medium body, still. Very good, mature

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2018 A taste from a bottle in Seattle. Huge thanks to mcberko for this treat! Clear, nutty orange brown. Nose of deep caramelized sugars and a hint of funky apple skin. Relatively sweet but gorgeously balanced. Baking spice, walnut liquor, rogac fruit rakija, a touch of interesting funk throughout. Cool, unique, and a special treat!
