UPDATED: JAN 5, 2022 Bottle shared by alexsdad06 pour opaque black with minimal tan head. Nose, wood us honey really comes through to me. Barrel, maple, sweet, chocolate. Taste light bitterness, mineral chocolate, molasses, alcohol, barrel.
UPDATED: DEC 29, 2021 375 ml bottle from Jackie O's. Pours dark brown to black in color with a medium sized khaki colored head that settled into a ring. The aroma and flavor have a nice mix of roasted malts, dark chocolate and wood from the imperial stouts used with the sweeter malts, caramel, molasses, bourbon and vanilla from the barleywines in the blend; hints of coffee, honey, mild nutty character, earthy, and some dark fruit, smooth somewhat syrupy mouthfeel, slightly sticky at the finish, it appears BC did a nice job teaching the current group of brewers on blending barrel aged beers before he left.
