I guess as these Jerome beers go, this is one of the better ones, but this still isn’t that great. It pours a black body with almost no head. The nose is lightly roasty, but also has a prominent black olive component, some soy sauce, and light blackberry tartness. On the palate, it’s not so much roasty, but shows black olives, coffee, dark chocolate, some tobacco, dark berries, and earth. There’s some tartness here, and not just a hint, and this is a bit off-putting. The beer is light-medium bodied and seems quite thin for a stout. Carbonation is light as well, and the finish is reasonably dry. Overall, this is below average stout. It’s thin, tastes like black olives, and has an odd tartness.
hotstuff (5394) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JAN 21, 2014Rated on 10-06-2009. This bottled beer pours a medium sized tan fizzy head with a short retention, opaque black body, very little carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, and dried fruits. The Taste mimics the Aroma. The Palate is tingly and thin. This beer is light-medium bodied. Overall, the Aroma is better than the flavor. The texture is too thin for this beer’s style and does not come across as a true Stout. This is a beer that is not on my "want to drink again sometime" list.

Oapque black beer. Light crisp palate. Smooth malt, sourish like a good porter. Very light smoke, barely there. Mild sour fruit. Smooth, almost creamy, dark malt and a nice minerally finish. Finally a decent Argentinian beer!
bluejacket74 (2018) - Reynoldsburg, Ohio, USA - DEC 19, 201122 ounce bottle (labeled Andean Stout). Served in a pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with an inch tan head that stayed around for a while. There’s also a good amount of lacing. Aroma is nice and sweet, the brew smells like dark fruit (raisins, prunes), molasses, chocolate, coffee and some charred/burnt malt. The flavors are the same as the aroma, but not quite as strong. I do like the taste, but it does seem a little weak in comparison to the aroma. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a little bit coating with moderate carbonation. Overall it’s a decent enough brew, I’d buy it again in the future. It’s certainly worth trying for just $3.99 a bottle!
Syzzer (645) - Oregon, USA - DEC 11, 2011This is a good smooth dark Irish style ale. Smooth molasis malts with a a soy sauce aroma
5000 (7050) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - NOV 26, 2011Bottle:   Black, large light brown head, nice lacing.   Nice roasted malt nose, some lactose like
sweetness.   Fairly roasty on the tongue, start to finish.   Not a big malt base, very little hop which is
welcomed.   Slight ash on the backside.   Moderate to thin body and mouthfeel.   More astray on the
finish.   Simple, but straight forward and respectable.
GT (10001) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 25, 2011660mL bomber thing from Cleveland Park Liquors. The pour is a deep brown with no head formation. Scant, weak, large bubbles form and subside. Nose is salty black olives. Taste is olive juice, astringent bitterness, salt, chlorine, pool cleaner. Non existent palate. Drainpour. Needs a new brewer probably.
reebtogi (6488) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 25, 2011poured dark and dirty into glass, light brown head with little lacing left behind, a malty sweeter stout than I am used to, a medium body and carbonation, takes a bit of getting used to.
drfabulous (14226) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - MAY 23, 2011Older bottle never opened from Thomas. Pours thin. Slight cola and chocolate flavor. Carbonation fades. Not too impressive.
mansquito (12992) - Nueva York, New York, USA - MAY 18, 2011Macarthur’s Beverage 660ml (I love weird South American sizes) ($4): Pours a black body with a brown head. Aroma is of really roasted malts, along with some fruitiness and some other things. Taste is really smoky, but the balance is pretty off. The malts are all right, but they are not well-balanced. The body is a little bit off as well. Still, it is pleasant to drink, if not exactly pulled off exactly right.
