UPDATED: FEB 23, 2020 Cloudy deep golden with a rocky thick white head. Lovely funky nose with oak and Brett with nice tart citrus peel and a kiss of crushed black pepper and more farmhouse funk. Crisp pale flavor that’s dry and bretty funky with farm hay and a little bright lemon peel and dried grass. Flavorful and bright yet funky and Oaked and a little earthy.

UPDATED: OCT 11, 2019 Bottle from Growler Guys. Wow. Amber pour, decent frothy white head. Poured at about 55 degrees F. Classic and unmistakable Jolly Pumpkin nose, despite the absolute craziness underneath. Thick flavors of tobacco with hints of bourbon and lemon, chewier than almost anything I've had. Smoke but not a smoked beer. So intense, viscous, hard to believe it's only 7%. Almost off-putting at first sip and quickly mesmerizing. I've tasted few if any beers that are this far outside of the box and this different from anything I've had before — and yet this good. This is absolutely nothing like Kuhnhenn Raspberry Eisbock, but when I had that in about 2004 it was the same experience of wow, I've never had anything like this and it's amazing. What a fantastic combination of JP classic yeast character and JP experimentation.

Bottle (thanks FatPhil). Slightly hazy deep amber color. Small size, off-white head, stays. Brett, burnt leather, old autumn leaves, apple seeds in taste. Lots of leather in aftertaste. Thin and watery body. Solid brew.

750ml bottle. Thanks Fatphil. Pours golden yellow colour. Thin white head. Notes of smoke, leathery notes, moderate acidity, hints of the house yeast, grapeskins, fruity notes in the aroma. Learher, bitterness, smoke, moderate acidity. Woody nites. Really dry finish. Bit empty in the end, but the aftertaste has wood and i like really dry leathery palate.
