Faint coffe, nice saltyness at 2nd sipp. Finish ist dry-ish, sweet and a little boozy. Sensory Session #40: conclusion: 3 of 6 Senatsbocks lost compared to the Senatsbock tasting in January. UPDATED: DEC 25, 2021 0,33l Flasche. Dunkle Bernsteinfarbe, moussierender cremiger Schaum. Top Optik. Roter Röstmalzduft. Gebrannter Karamell. Mit dee Zeit tritt das Salz hervor. Alkohol ist gut eingebunden. Schöne Variante.

UPDATED: NOV 18, 2021 Aus der Flasche (bbe 07.2023) im 2021-11 getrunken. Dieses Bock mit einer kräften beige Schaumkrone kommt schon in der Nase mit eine leicht salziges Aroma was später durch Karamell- und Malzaromen etwas überlagert wird. Am Gaumen ist der Salz/Karameleinfluss ganz fein hinter den deutlichen Vollkornbrot-/Schokoladen-Aromen. Alles sehr ausgewogen!

UPDATED: JUL 2, 2021 0,33 l bottle out of the 2021 Senatsbock 6er. Pours out nearly black with a small one finger dark beige head. Intensive choco smell with nuts and malt. Taste starts smooth and slick, choco, malt and caramel, licorice. Little bit dry and fruity. Increasing salt in the background. Dangerous due to the totally hidden alcohol. No real carbonation. Really nice one!

UPDATED: MAY 13, 2021 Smooth mild beginning. Lots of malt with salt and caramel. Smooth mild with a caramelly finish. Nice with a salty caramel bar finish. Interesting.

UPDATED: MAR 4, 2021 Bottle picked up from the Beyond Beer Webshop Hamburg and consumed at home Wednesday 3rd March 2021 listening to Marc Riley on 6Music. Pours very dark brown with a slim off white head. Caramel, a little dried fruit, fig perhaps and some cinder toffee, this is very nice, not quite up there with the previous two offerings. Soft mouthfeel, molasses, chocolate cookies, and the caramel keeps coming back.

UPDATED: FEB 27, 2021 33cl bottle. A dark reddish brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of dark roasted malt, caramel, salt, liquorice. Taste of salty caramelized malt, chocolate, dark malt, nice.
