Ernest (9030) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUL 14, 2021UPDATED: JUL 14, 2021 Bottle from Tamura's in Kaneohe, Oahu.
Head is initially small, frothy, light green, mostly lasting.
Body is dark green-blue-amber/brown.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (grapefruit, resin), with notes of kale and mint.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter, unclean.
Medium to full body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic.
So the American import label claims this contains artificial flavors plus FD&C Blue 1 and FD&C Yellow 5 & 6...because just adding matcha tea powder would be too easy and too natural. Ugh, what a weird and unpleasant monstrosity.

Pyobon (2279) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - SEP 15, 2019UPDATED: SEP 15, 2019 (Bottle) Wow, this pours clear deep green with a short-lived bright green head. Pleasant aroma with a mix of light toffee, hops and hints of green tea. Medium body with great carbonation. The taste is unusual and impressive. There’s plenty of hoppy bitterness from start to finish. There’s some pleasant balancing sweetness at the start, both a light malt and candy. There’s grassy vegetable notes in the start. The matcha comes through most distinctly in the finish where there is good hoppy bitterness and matcha. There’s a bit of alcohol bite towards the end too.
