COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kokanee is a 5.0 percent alcohol (by volume) lager that is smooth, clean and lightly hopped. It is brewed with mountain stream fed water and a blend of 3 malts and features a unique combination of superior Western-grown North American hops. Brewed in the Kootenay Mountains of British Columbia by the Columbia Brewing Company, Kokanee is British Columbia's most popular beer over the last 10 years. Since its introduction to the Northwest U.S. in the summer of 1994, many people have discovered and enjoyed Kokanee's cool, crisp, glacier fresh taste.

UPDATED: SEP 14, 2019 Courtesy of Jeremy Pale gold with a white head. The aroma is sweet malt with grassy / hay notes. Nice.

UPDATED: SEP 15, 2018 I give it a 3 it’s not a bad Pilsner. Quite refreshing to be honest. I could see myself drinking this again.

Both canned and bottled, always the same crap. Pours pale golden, clean and pale, with some thick snow-white head. Aroma is... almost non-existent: just a hint of grass and iron. Tastes soft, light, fizzy, almost bitterless. Very metallic finish that lingers a while. Quite bad, if I'm anything to go by.

12 oz single bottle from Tipsy's Liquor World. Clear, pale golden appearance with a fluffy, lingering white head. Mild aroma of husky grains, light corn and light bready notes. Similar flavor, adding moderate sweetness and minimal bitterness. Light and watery on the palate with a smooth finish. Drinkable.

Draft pour pint for $2.50 at Corner Pub, Burlington. Finally rating this, along with finally finding it on tap. I always liked this macro pale lager more so than others. Bright and clean, shiny golden pour. Thin fizz head. A bit of a creamier body than most in the style. Pretty easy drinking. I can't really complain a whole lot about this one.

DraftDodger (5615) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUL 17, 2018
Jasper 16/7 2018. 34,1 cl bottle at Smitty’s. A glacier in rapid movement on the label to underline the tagline “Glacier Fresh Beer”. Pours clear yellow with medium-sized white head. Settles as thin almost transparent layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. No lacing. Aroma is pretty generic macro pale lager. Lightly sweet malts. Saltiness. Light notes of grass. Medium carbonation. Thin, watery texture. Flavor is medium sweet followed by light bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish and a little watery. Well a Glacier is just a Hell of a lot of Frozen water moving slowly from A to B. That says exactly what is to say about this beer.

Love this beer on all levels, EXCEPT, 16 oz. can, 6 pack hdpe, carrying-strap packaging SUCKS. Do not attempt to carry by the strap, a middle can will always fall out, hit the gravel and start that spraying thing, alcohol abuse!

A short can from 8th St Liquor Store in New Westminster. A golden liquid with white head and a sweet malt nose with just a trace of hop. On the palate it reveals itself as very lightly hopped, sweetly malted, inoffensive and boring. 2.4

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2018 Well, I normally would not have ordered this beer, but it was the best choice (seriously!) available at the Outback restaurant near my motel. It is exactly as I remembered it from the 70's, the last time I had it, sort of glorified BudMillerCoors, but my glass is empty, and Blue Moon and Shock Top are not looking any better, so I will have another.
