Golden colour, mostly vanishing white head. Banana, grain and paper in the nose. Light-bodied. Pale malts, some banana and fruits, light lemony hops, very watery finish. Neh.

UPDATED: JAN 18, 2020 0,33l bottle. Pours clear orange with medium sized white head. Some tropical fruits, softness from wheat malts. That said, on the watery side and the hops and flavor a pretty tame. Meh.

UPDATED: JUL 27, 2019 Pours clear orange amber with a three finger, off white head. Aroma is light tropical fruit and wheat. Taste is light passion fruit and light caramel, moving to wheat. Finish is wheat. An OK wheat beer.

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2019 An orange beer, a head is small and blond. Aroma has sweet fruitness, banana, mustyness. Taste has also sweet fruitness, some sourness fo wheat. Medium bodied. Not freshness at all.

One of my favorite fruits is the passion fruit, especially when you buy it fresh off the tree at a market in the Caribbean and have them cut it open for you so you can eat it right there on the spot. So in 1996, when I spent several days in Hawaii, I fell in love with this local beer called 'Lilikoi Wheat.' Now here it is 11 years later and this Kona beer is finally available on the mainland as a seasonal. And I'm sad to say that my impression is much less favorable this time around. On the nose, this beer smells like your standard American Wheat beer, but the tart fruitiness of passion fruit is almost able to offset the cheap wheat aroma and provide at least some level of enjoyment for fans of this fruit, though the underlying American Wheat aroma is still what registers the most. Each sip begins with a similar balance of gently tart passion fruit and wheat beer flavor, but the fruit fades in the evolution for a 'cheap beer' finish and a pretty awful after taste. Dark straw in color and fairly clear in appearance. The small, white head fully dissolves fairly quickly. Body is predictably light as is usual for the style, and carbonation is medium. While the fruit is still in play, the mouthfeel is fairly refreshing, but the finish and after taste lead to staleness on the palate. So after such fond memories, this has been a disappointment, so either I didn't know any better back then (likely), or this just isn't as good as it used to be. I guess the plan should be, drink it cold and drink it fast.

UPDATED: FEB 14, 2019 Very nice wheat beer. Smooth with a European beer feel to it. Well balanced with slight tropical notes to finish

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2018 Pretty non descript appearance. Gold body with a thin white head. Very faint passion fruit nose. Flavor is slightly bitter with a macro beerish flavor. Inoffensive. Not my favorite from the mixed pack that I purchased.

On tap at a beerfest. Lots of bloody Mary's and other beer here. Not sure what else to write to get to 75.
