UPDATED: JUL 26, 2020 Aarhus 26/7 2020. 50 cl bottle from Brdr. D., Nyvej, Silkeborg. Kragelund’s usual label design with the logo that looks like the symbol from a obscure sect of Freemasons. Held in maroon dark grey with two stags. Pours murky, opaque dark mahogany with a small yellowish head. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing. Aroma is medium intense with a strong sugary odor with a touch of something burnt. Caramel, hard candy, toffee. Hard roasted dark malt. Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, almost flat texture. Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingers for a while. Caramellish finish. Malty, agreeable and very sweet brew.

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2018 Dark brown color with an off white head that quickly disappears, but easiely revived. Taste is very sweet, makes me think of cookies (Bastogne cookies) the sweetness last forever in the back of the throat. Not in a bad way. Lovely beer.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2018 From the bottle cloudy red/amber colour. Aroma of caramel and dark fruit, like a christmas pudding. Taste quite sweet and fruity with a decent aftertaste light bitterness. Not bad really.

500 ml bottle, No. 138, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 6.5%. Fairly cloudy dark brown colour, small off-white head. Malty aroma with some sourish and vinegary notes, hints of over-ripe berries and oak. The flavour is also malty, not too sweet, but again with some sourish hints that I am not sure are intentional.

Tydelig smag af de mørke malte, den er let sødelig men mest markant er smagen af let brændt, og chokolade.

Murky dark amber, airy light beige head. Sweet malty aroma, caramel. Caramel and malt flavour, bittersweet. Slightly sticky mouthfeel with malty, light woody finish.

Bottle. Pours murky dark amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with notes of fruit and caramel. Booze in the long nose. Sweetish, malty and fruity flavour, with estery and hoppy notes. Mild finish. Boozy touches despite the rather low ABV. Not that bad, but I haven’t tasted many beers of this style, so my rating may not be representative.

Brown of color with an off white head. An aroma of malt, sweet and rye bread. A flavor of toffee, malt and rye bread.

Bottle at Kiddo & Ko tasting. Copper with a beige head. Aroma medium+ malty(caramel, roasted, dark fruit). Flavor almost heavy sweet, light bitter. Medium+ body.
