UPDATED: DEC 23, 2021 Deep dark brown with a big off-white foam and aromas of burnt malt and mocha. Creamy-dry and malty-sweet, burnt demerara, a hint of dark fruit. Pretty good, although it is absolutely not a Black Pils (!), and is perhaps more Dunkel than Schwarzbier.

UPDATED: MAY 25, 2021 50cl Fles van Café Brecht. Bijna zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Wat koffie, toffee, wat gebrande mout, licht droppig, hint van boter. Vrij dun. Had hier meer van verwacht.

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2021 Bottle at Ganz, courtesy of Zozo. Black pour with a long lasting brown head. Nose is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee. Taste is nicely baalnced bittersweet, showing toffee, dark malts, coffee, roasted notes and coffee. Closes with an earthy, coffeeish finish, has a light to medium, somewhat crisp body and average carbonation. Decent.

UPDATED: MAR 14, 2021 500ml bottle, online from Beers of Europe. Pours clear dark brown with a decent beige head. Aroma: sweet, soft roast, light chocolate, coffee. Taste: light to moderate sweet & bitter, the taste follows the aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation

UPDATED: MAR 4, 2021 Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Hazy brown body with a beige head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of brambles, coffee and charred wood. Flavour of rust, berries, bread and roasted malt. Medium body with a smooth, slightly frothy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Nice balance between the sharp berry notes and the roasted flavour.

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2021 0,5 bottle. Tiny wordless label with buckled glass. The beer is very nice. Head almost perfect, dense, brownish-white, hard, very dark maroon color. Sweet, soft, fresh, delicious coffee aroma. Very serious! It also has a creamy, delicious, sweet, coffee, roasted taste. The whole beer is silky, cream chocolate. It’s almost the most perfect brown lager I’ve ever drunk. Huge pleasant disappointment! It is fuller, more aromatic, tastier than many top-fermented browns. This was hit !!! Highly recommended! *** Pici semmitmondó címke, csatos üveg. A sör angyon szép. Hab szinte tökéltes, sűrű, barnásfehér, kemény, nagyon sötét gesztenyebarna szín. Édes, puha, friss, finom kávé illat. Nagyon komoly! Ízre is krémes, finom, édeskés, kávés, pörkölt, rendkívül egyben van. Az egész sör selymes, krémcsokis. Szinte a legtökéletesebb barna lager, amit eddig ittam. Hatalmas kellemes csalódás! Sok felső-erjesztésű barnánál teltebb, aromásabb, ízesebb. Ezt eltalálták!!! Nagyon ajánlott!
