Appearance- brewer bottle cap, simple nice label. Maybe a slight overall bonus. Clear ruby, dark brownish color. From- snifter Price-2,49 euros for 0,33ml Taste- weak malt, hops, Belgian yeast, caramel. Alcool mixed in well. Generally sweet, tasty.

UPDATED: MAR 17, 2021 Bottle, Craft Republic. Gusher. Clear deep brown, no head. 3- Aroma of strong bread, dried fruit (figs, grapes), spices. Full bodied. Sweet with bread and dried fruit before lots of spices and firm bitterness. Anise, coriander, cinnamon. Drying woody spice. Some obvious alcohol. Lacks real depth.

UPDATED: MAR 13, 2021 Bottle at Echarle Huevos, served at home in a trappist glass. Amber-ruby colour, big heas with long retention and a big creamy head. Aroma is malty, liquor, caramel, prunes, raisins, some chocolate, fruits, spices. Medium body, oily texture, good carbonation. Sweet boozy finish. Taste follows the aroma. Great and complex.

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2020 Brown body with a finger of head. Aroma is earth, barnyard hay, and a little chocolate. Taste is slow starter, fig sweet middle, long caramel sweet finish. Texture is lighter and fizzy. Pretty good.

UPDATED: NOV 1, 2020 Color marrón oscuro, con reflejos granates, translúcida. Espuma marfil de dos dedos de espesor y corta retención. Aroma medio intenso, higos, ciruelas, azúcar quemado, notas de madera y alcohol. Sabor medio intenso, en la línea del aroma más leves especias y un amargor herbal suave que dura hasta el posgusto, alcohol notable. Textura mínimamente oleosa. Carbonatación alta. La disfrutaría mucho más si el alcohol tan presente y la carbonatación tan alta me lo permitieran.

UPDATED: JUL 26, 2020 Color marrón oscuro con un dedo de espuma blanquecina de buena retención. Aroma maltoso con notas a café, caramelo y licor. Sabor dulce con predominio de malta y final azucarado sin excesiva presencia del alcohol. Cuerpo medio-alto y carbonatación alta, excesiva hasta el punto de entorpecer la cata.

UPDATED: MAY 22, 2020 Pours a dark brown colour. Taste is bready and yeasty with a slight sourness. Some fortified wine notes too. Quite heavy but very good

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2020 330ml bottle at The Bier Stein, Eugene, OR on 19/06/2008. Nice, dark fruity and spicy aroma and big body. Lots of chewy malt, dried fruit and orange peal flavours.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2020 Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours copper with a light haze and a thin off-white head. Aromas of treacle and toffee. Taste is light sweet, treacle and spices. Quite sticky and boozy.
