javleon (107) - Barcelona, SPAIN - NOV 29, 2020

(6/3/6/3/12) (music pairing : Freefall, avec l'album We are the night, symphonique)

GoddamnNoise (722) - Pontevedra, SPAIN - APR 19, 2020
UPDATED: APR 19, 2020 33 cl. bottle @ home, served in a teku glass, due date: 2021/02. Aroma: not very powerful aromas of caramel malts, malts, toasted malts. Very weak hints of citrus and pine and some earthy overtones. Appearance: amber to deep amber/copperish color with reddish overtones, beige to light brown very creamy foam made of medium to big sized bubbles with high head thickness, high retention and high lacing. Low to medium haziness. Taste: medium sweetness, low to medium bitterness, low sourness. Flavors of caramel malts, caramel, toasted bread crust, toasted malts, hints of citrus, burnt caramel, burnt brown sugar, brown sugar, pine, and some earthy overtones. Balance is toward the sweetness, but it's well balanced for the style. Mouthfeel: medium body, watery texture, low carbonation, not very long bittersweet finish with low sweetness and low to medium bitterness and the same previously mentioned flavors. Alcohol is well hidden and only noticeable because of its throat and mouth warming, but not in the aroma or flavor. Astringency is low but slightly noticeable. Overall: good appearance, weak aromas and more powerful flavors of caramel malts, caramel, toasted malts, bread crust, hints of citrus, burnt caramel, burnt brown sugar, pine, earthy overtones. Not a beer to remember but not so bad. A bit one-dimensional and lacking more layers of flavors.
