Lubiere (19735) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 21, 2013
A hazed blonde saison with a thin white head. In aroma, light fruity malt with light grassy floral hops, spices, smooth. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with fruity esters, floral hops, citrus pulp, veering on Belgian IPA.

On tap @ Provisions Market. Cloudy golden pour with a white head. Aroma is very, very dry. Pale, cracker malt, pepper, yeast, and lots of citrus peel. The flavor is also quite dry. High carbonation, pepper, cracker, and yeast. Citrus peel, floral hops, and a subtle banana note.

Sample at the brewpub. This brew pours a slightly hazy golden color with a medium thin white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of citrus, yeast and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of ripe fruit, yeast and herbal hops. The finish is fruity with a yeast aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

On tap at the brewpub. Gold with white head. Uninteresting saison, super dry but without much character. Could just as well be a blonde. Just grainy and uninteresting.

On tap at the brewery. Pour is clear golden with a big white head and great lacing. Banana, citrus, sweet fruits, lightly floral, biscuity, straw, clove, and lemon in the aroma. Taste is biscuity, bready, white pepper, lemon, banana, a touch of clove, and citrus with a slightly spicy finish. Medium body with soft carbonation. Not a bad saison and super easy drinking.

Draft. Pours gold with a white head. Yeasty and fruity, with lighter spicy notes, banana, and light flowery hoppy notes. Underwhelming.

mcberko (34280) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 7, 2012
On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma is very hefeweizen like, with banana and clove upfront, and a bit of barnyard. Flavour reveals notes of clove, wheat, dry barnyard, and a bit of sheep wool. There’s a slight acidity, with a dry bitter finish. Better than the ratings would lead me to believe.
