COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship beer, named after the hard-working neighborhood where Lakefront Brewery was founded. Lands a brilliant amber in the glass and settles with a bubbly, off-white head, releasing mild peppery and floral hop aromas. A hint of caramel malt sweetness up front is checked by a pleasant hop bite and crisp, lager finish. Riverwest Stein: an honest day’s beer.

Bitterbill (2959) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - MAY 19, 2021
UPDATED: MAY 19, 2021 Code on the bottle, best by 3L2955. Thanks a bunch. I know exactly what that means. /me rolling my eyes. With a vigorous pour, there's 2 fingers of foam on an amber copper looking fluid. Foam hangs around. Smell has caramel malt and the smell, sorry, of an AAL. You know what I mean. The taste is caramel malt, grainy, some biscuit, hints of roast. Evenly balanced, good thing or not so good thing? Come on, it's an Amber Lager. Similar appearance to say, a Yuengling Traditional Lager. Bitterness level is near non existent. Ok. Good enough light body character. Not bad but not something that I would want to revisit so I will give the other 2 bottles away locally.

tapefuzz (2157) - Massachusetts, USA - MAY 12, 2021
UPDATED: MAY 12, 2021 12oz bottle. Pours copper with a tiny beige head. Aroma is caramel, toffee, earth, and a little toast. Taste is caramel and a little honey up front followed by oxidation, toasted grain, light earth hops, and a hint of pepper. Light body. Average carbonation. Oily, slightly watery mouthfeel.

commonmac (2083) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAR 20, 2021
UPDATED: MAR 20, 2021 12oz bottle from the Lakefront sampler pack and consumed during March Madness with commonshawn and jerseyguy. Amber in color. Minimal head. Aroma is muted but picking up caramel and toffee notes. Taste stays true to the amber style. Malt takes center stage with caramel and light toast characteristics. Lingering slightly sweet finish. A good fall seasonal option.

commonshawn (2098) - Minnesota, USA - MAR 20, 2021
UPDATED: MAR 20, 2021 Bottle with commonmac and jerseyguy during March madness. Mahogany with small white head. Sweet grain malt nose. Taste is what expected, in a good way. Malty throughout, no bitterness. A nice change of pace in an ipa world.

drpimento (6063) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 24, 2021
UPDATED: FEB 24, 2021 The rate at which rate beer is losing reviews is increasing. The aromas are malt, caramel, with a bit of fruit and minerals. Flavors are like nose, a bit sweet up front with a nice balance of carbonation and bitter. Decent example of the beer style.

Bacchus66 (2142) - South Carolina, USA - JUN 23, 2020
UPDATED: JUL 19, 2020 On tap at ADT. Almost clear amber with lasting thin beige ring. Bread crust, toast, toffee. Light carb, medium body. Sweet malty finish. Very nicely done.

LagerChecker34 (66) - - JUN 13, 2020
UPDATED: JUN 26, 2021 A good amber beer with a nice aroma. Has almost a Octoberfest taste. Probably not my favorite amber. I think of it as a prohibition Amber. A possible substitute for Miller Fortune. I think it’s better if you don’t think of it as an Amber at all. A great beer to just sit back and enjoy.

fallingleaves (69) - Colorado, USA - SEP 22, 2019
UPDATED: SEP 22, 2019 This beer has a true Milwaukee taste to it. The fact that is an Amber lager makes it more enjoyable than the ales. It has a pleasant amber taste and truly hits the spot on a hot summers day.

seymour (2587) - Maplewood, Missouri, USA - AUG 27, 2019
UPDATED: AUG 27, 2019 On tap at the brewery in a plastic cup to take outside by the river. Mostly clear orange amber with sudsy off-white foam, lasting with lace. An above-average American Amber Ale: malty, toasty, some unusual caramelization reminiscent of molasses or barbeque sauce. Subtle hop balance. Medium body and carbonation, some residual sweetness. Not a masterpiece, but tasty and memorable.

onceblind (17156) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 7, 2019
UPDATED: MAY 7, 2019 Clear coppery amber with a thin sticky white cap. Toasty malty bready aroma with a lagery cracker undertone. Cool mellow copper malty flavor with a little amber malty roastiness and a kiss of chocolate malt. Lingering doughy lager yeast touch.
