Mildly murky dark amber color with a modest off-white head. Aromas of toasted malt, caramel and hint of herbal or lightly scorched malt bitterness. Lightly sweet with some brown sugar and light caramel. A “green” bitterness that is not quite herbal, but perhaps a bit to the sourdough variety. A bit like an Irish ale. 3/10

One of the worst beers I have had from Lakefront. Lightly sweet malt, but virtually no flavor or aroma but just some grain.

Bottle at MN Gathering @ Skyview V. Light orange pour with a small soapy white head. Aroma is funky bread and biscuit with a touch of subtle grape. Medium palate. Taste is a touch syrupy, mild fruit and bread.

(bomber 2/16/11). Cloudy copper color. Medium off white head. Moderate bread/biscuit malt aroma. Flavor of the same, with light sweetness. Avg duration. Light dry finish. Slick texture. Moderate carbonation. Fair lacing.

There is a subtle hoppiness, but it is rather sweet, and not much else. It seems like a 1 off for a special event and Lakefront didn’t take too much time in making the recipe perfect.
