In short: A slightly tart wheaty blonde ale with fruity flavours of tropical/exotic fruits. Fun beer.
How: Tat at Vices & Versa, Montreal.
The look: Partly cloudy yellow-blonde body topped by a persistent small white head.
In long: Nose is lemongrass, notes of tropical fruits juice and hints of tartness to come. Decent mouthfeel with a smooth texture and just enough soft bubbles. Tastes is like a Berliner Weisse with a side of fruit salad. Mild refreshing tartness. The foundation of a Berliner Weisse (wheaty, tartness, etc.) except that the natural lemony flavour of the Berliner Weisse was pushed aside to make room for flavours of tropical and exotic fruits. A fun new twist on an old plot. I’m glad I have ratebeer to remember what beers I liked because I have such a bad memory I can’t even remember the name of the band Dave Matthews plays in.

Une blonde grisâtre qui présente une mousse immaculée qui ne tient pas en place. Un nez acidulé, de citron et de tout ce qui l’entoure et c’est aussi, presque, mentholé. Le goût et près d’une limonade maison, sans sucre ajouté et bien plaisante du point de vue de l’acidité. Des particularités lactées m’arrivent par le côté. Il y a quelque chose qui me rappelle un peu une soupe miso, avec des algues et des champignons. (1125-260614)

[Draught at Station Ho.st, Montreal] Pours a pale gold with a spare white head. Nice aroma and flavour of citrus and grapes along with yeast, lactic notes, wheat and light hops. Light to average bodied. Really nice session beer.

2014-06-13 - on draught at Station HOST, Montreal, at their SourFest. Clear Pale gold with a small foamy diminishing white head. Aroma is lovely - subtle and delicate, dry, hint of oak and lemongrass, a low-level mustiness (brett?) - vaguely floral, like a ghost of floral/grassy bitterness. Taste is lemon, citrus zest, lacto and dry woodiness, not much bitterness at all - or alcohol. Airy, light body, light acidity and carbonation, finishes quick and dry with lemon zest and restrained sharp sourness in the aftertaste - very light, a terrific starter for a session of sours.

On tap at BDT. Hazy pale yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is pear, peach and lemon. Taste is pear, peach, citrus, coconut water with lactic and mineral notes. Light acidity, watery mouthfeel.

En fût. Verre de dégustation chez Vices & Versa (Montréal, QC). Arôme: Odeur de pêche avec une pointe de fruits tropicaux. Apparence: La couleur est blanche pâle légèrement voilée avec une faible densité de bulle. Saveur: Goût de pêche avec une pointe de citron et de basilic (?). Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement vineuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Légère présence de citron doux en arrière goût. (Rating #5279)

A pale blonde Weisse with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light cloves, faint Brett, nice and smooth. In mouth, a smooth fruity malt with light mineral notes, light buttery notes, faint brett, light bodied, OK. On tap at vices et versa.

Une belle brise tropicale émane de ce liquide d’une blancheur trouble intrigante. Une douce acidité se mêle à la noix de coco entre autre, belle surprise.

En fût au BDT. Couleur jaune pâle, mousse quasi-absente. Arôme de fruits et un peu d’agrumes. En bouche, fruits, un peu de houblon floral, agrumes et pêches. Légère, acide, balancée, très facile à boire. Très bonne.
