COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Also sold as Blanche de Quenast in Dia/Ed supermarkets, as Floreffe Wit for Floreffe Abbey, as Mediterranea for the Italian market, as Blanche de Francorchamps, as t Geheim van de Smit, as Manneken Pis, and as L’Alsacienne Blanche de l’Eté.
Ingredients: Malted barley; wheat (40%); coriander; bitter orange peel; sugar; hops; yeast.
Blanche de Bruxelles owes its natural cloudiness to the large percentage (40 %) of wheat that goes into its composition. The natural spice aromas of coriander and bitter orange peels are added during the brewing process. The brewing method, which includes infusion, is very slow. The beer, which is not filtered, is bottled and refermented with yeast and brewing sugar. You need only take a sip of this delicious drink to appreciate the fresh and mellow flavour with its hint of orange. It is really not like any other beer. Always served chiled, between 3°C and 6°C.

Fisler (2189) - Bamberg, GERMANY - OCT 8, 2021
UPDATED: OCT 8, 2021 Schwer einzuordnen, denn definitiv kein klassisches Witbier, dafür zu wenig Orange und Koriander. Vielleicht eher ein Weizenbier mit zu wenig Pepp. Somit nur okay.

UPDATED: OCT 7, 2021 Hazy yellow with a small head.As you would expect wheat fdlavours dominate. Pretty predictable and fairly average. Not unpleasant but not one that will stick in mind. In fact tried it a few days ago and if I hadn't made some notes would have forgot about it already.

Martinsh (1348) - Crewe, Cheshire, ENGLAND - JUL 16, 2021
UPDATED: JUL 16, 2021 On tap at Hops, Crewe (where it is a regular). Pours a cloudy lemon yellow with a large foamy white head and good lacing. The usual susprects of bananas and bubblegum in the aroma. Spiciness is the first thing which catches the attention of the taste buds. There is lemon juice, contrasting with bananas and pear drops with hints of coriander. A decent witbier. Not a classic but perfect for a sunny afternoon.

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2021 330ml bottle - Pours a hazy yellow colour with a small fine foamy white head. The aroma is light, wheaty, citrus and coriander. A light sweet taste, wheat, citrus and coriander with a light spicy bitter finish.

UPDATED: MAY 20, 2021 330ml bottle. Pale cloudy straw colour with generous white head. Aroma is doughy malts, hay, hint of lemon; decent. Taste is doughy bread, sourness, vague banana notes; its nice but was hoping for more. Light to medium bodied, fairly smooth with a nice soft carbonation; good.

UPDATED: APR 13, 2021 75cl bottle at home from online store but can find this one also in stores here. Pours pale opaque yellow, bit like a clear lemonade with big frothy white head but quickly disappearing. Aroma is moderate of wheat, some citrus and light spices. Taste is moderate sweet with some sourish notes going on, lots of citrus, wheat, hay, yeast, orange and orange peel and spices. Quite easy to drink and pleasant. Fruity enough in the finish and not too sweet which is nice, i like the finish. Easy drinking just slightly over carbonated maybe, but it's alright. Smooth and a bit watery but fizzy texture, moderate body. Could be a bit more flavoured for me. It's pretty ok.
