UPDATED: JAN 3, 2020 Frothy, tan head left a good cover on a dark brown still body. Malt, roast & nutty aroma. Medium bodied, creamy over the palate with light soft back & cloying aft. Sweet lactose, malt, cream, sugar, sweet stone fruit & milk chocolate tastes with hints of coffee & sweet fruity finish. Excellent Stout.

UPDATED: JUL 14, 2019 12oz Flasche. So muss ein Stout aussehen. Schwarzes Bier, feiner brauner Schaum. Röstmalz Aroma. Bitterschokolade. Schön gehaltvoller Geschmack. Bitteres Röstmalz, Schokolade, ein Hauch Holz. klassisch. Leicht sahnig im Finnish. Bleibt lange auf der Zunge.

UPDATED: FEB 18, 2019 355ml bottle from Ole, Xiamen. Pours black with a thin off white head. Aroma of roast malt and chocolate. Dry taste and finish.

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2019 Rated on first tastings only. Initially upon opening tasted and smelled of coffee and chocolate. Re-capped it and put it in the refrigerator. Went back to it again a few hours later and it was just bitter--flavor notes were gone. Gave that up to inexperience as a beer drinker. Made an excellent addition to beef stew. Would drink or cook with again! Do this lovely beer justice right when you open it and enjoy it then--don't let it sit like we did and ruin a perfectly nice beer.

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Black with a thick tan head of foam. It has a rich milk chocolate, vanilla and oak flavour followed by a smooth, creamy oak, chocolate and vanilla finish. Very good.

Bomber poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, bakers cocoa, light fruitiness and a hint of licorice. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of roasted malt, bakers cocoa, light earthiness and light coffee with a smooth dry lingering bakers cocoa finish.

Bottle from Bottle Baron. Black body with a thin beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of plum, chocolate and raisin. Flavour of peppery spice and roasted malt. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Rich and well balanced.

UPDATED: MAR 13, 2019 From a bottle to a glass. Pours extremely dark brown. Almost totally black. Small tan head. Aroma is Chocolate, dark fruits, slight black licorice, figs,raisins,prune,leather,a play doh clay note. Taste follows the aroma with some roasted malts in the taste aswel. Medium Heavy mouthfeel. Very tasty!
