UPDATED: JAN 11, 2022 Bottle 33cl. bought 19/8/19 bbf 6/2/23 from debierliefhebber.nl @home poured into a teku glass. Hazy amber brown colour, small frothy beige head, mostly diminishing, light lacing. Aroma sweet malt, caramel, raisins, wood, alcohol, vanilla notes. Taste light light heavy sweet and light bitter, malty, toffee, light ripe apple notes, raisins, woody, alcohol, candy sugar. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, lingering, sweetbitter aftertaste, sugary, woody notes, alcohol, too sweet and boozy, nevertheless quite enjoyable as a winter beer, good effort.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2021 Bottle from Lehe bottleshop, pours brown color. Aroma of caramel, toffee, malts, toast, bourbon, oak, alcohol, raisins, dried fruits. Taste is quite dry, malts, dry fruits and barrel fruits combined with dry fruity notes, but not very fruity overall. Dry and boozy. Nice barley wine overall.

Light haze on this reddish amber beer, small pale tan head. Smooth and fairly light palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft sweet caramel malts, light sweet fruity bourbon. A little spice on the finish. Decent elements, but feels a bit immature somehow.

UPDATED: NOV 5, 2019 33cl bottle (possible bought at Sip). Pours hazy brown with a fairly modest, white head. Malty, caramelly and slightly boozy aorma with notes of bourbon, vanilla and wood. Sweet, warming and rather desserty, maybe the extra storage has done good. Quite pleasant winter warmer, but a bit too much on the sweet side.

UPDATED: OCT 25, 2019 Murky brown pour, gusher heen opening. Sweet, dried fruit but also a lot of wood/oakyness. Bit boozy though

UPDATED: APR 1, 2019 330ml bottle online from Beerdome, NL. Pours clear dark amber with a beige head. Aroma: sweet malts, caramel, calvados, apples, pears. Taste: moderate to heavy sweet, sweet malts, caramel, bourbon barrel. Medium bodied, moderate carb, sweet boozy finish. Unbalanced & excessively boozy

UPDATED: FEB 7, 2019 Bottle. Dark amber color. Toffee, vanilla And bourbon in the aroma. Sharp alcoholic flavor with toffee and bourbon. Smooth finish.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2018 Pours dark amber with beige foam. Fmells sweet of honey and some dried fruits. Tastes sweet, thick with some slight bitterness at the end. However, lacks balance

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2018 0,33l bottle from Kaubamaja Tallinn, shared with wiosna @ Rantakylä. Pours hazy brown with a low head. Aroma is sweet malts with some bourbon. Flavor is sweet malts with bourbon. Slightly funky. But good.
