UPDATED: JUL 16, 2021 From backlog notes. Twelve ounce bottle from mixed six pack bought at Western Hills Kroger, tasted on June 9, 2018. Clear gold color, sweet adjunct aroma, slightly syrupy texture sweet flavor with some mustiness. Somewhat different than other pale lagers but not something I would go out of my way to have again.

Scipio (2133) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - JUL 13, 2021
UPDATED: JUL 13, 2021 Pours a clear golden with a thin white head. The nose is grainy, bready, nutty, and has a slight toasted element to it. Its lightly sweet in the taste with very little bitterness. I find grass and corn, lesser bread and grain, and hints of lemon sprinkled in. Grassy aftertaste. Light to medium bodied while being thinner in texture. When I began my beer drinking career I remember considering this premium beer. It isn't all that bad now actually.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2019 Pour from bottle is clear faded straw with thin head. Malt forward aroma with little sign of hops. Heavy on the CO2, it is crisp, clean, and cracker like. Light bodied with a quick flowery finish. Dry and mildly sweet it seems pretty bland but totally crushable even as nothing really stands out but at same time nothing too negative.

UPDATED: APR 3, 2019 A crisp & clean lager that’s passable! Pours transparent gold w/ a decent white head & some lacing. The aroma is cereal & bread. The taste is basically the same. It feels ok on the palate & overall isn’t terrible!

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle with a Best By date of Nov 26, 2018. Bright yellow pour with fizzy white head that fades. Excellent clarity. I pick up corn syrup on the nose with a vague grainy presence and grassy hops. But there is also something amiss, like a vegetable oil character. Light, clean and crisp body. The taste also has this mild sweetness and vegetable oil thing but a semi-dry and quick finish. I had higher hopes.

UPDATED: MAY 31, 2018 Bottle. The color was a pale gold with a thin head that had good retention. It has a grassy, herbal and corn aroma and flavor. The taste is sweet lager. Nice lager.

Drake (18900) - Appleton, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 12, 2018
12 ounce bottle. Been a Wisconsin resident for 17 months so about time I tick this. Clear golden, thin white head, fair retention. Aroma of toasted pale malt, grassy hop. Taste is strong grassy hop, pale malt. Medium bodied, crisp, lingering bitterness, high carbonation. Better than expected. I could crush a few of these.

Pours a clear bright gold with a mediocre white head. Some lacing. Grassy aroma; some hops. Sweet malt and corn taste with mild yet noticeable hop bitterness. Not overly well balanced, but pretty good.

nohopspleez (112) - Georgia, USA - NOV 20, 2017
UPDATED: OCT 21, 2019 a very good beer from our friends at Chippewa Falls, WI. A nice mix of malt with hops (WITHOUT the typical overload of hops as found in 99.9% of USA crafties) that has a clean taste, refreshing flavor and is very nice to drink. 9/2019 update - still a great beer to drink - wonderful to drink an actual beer that isnt brewed with 150 lbs. of hops in each bottle, like the insane USA crafties do. worthless swill they say is 'beer'.......not. This great beer does have a slight aftertaste. I noticed it and wasnt sure if it is the hops or that I allowed it to get a little warmer. Either might effect the taste this much. Nothing horrible, but it was noticed. note- Leinie appears to use GMO junk in its beer, too bad, no thank you Leinie.
