UPDATED: MAR 31, 2021 I know it is a sold as a vanilla porter but to me this beer tastes like a typical winter ale. Look at the label it depicts a winter wonderland. Good winter ale!

UPDATED: FEB 5, 2021 12 oz. bottle. Pours a medium, lasting beige head, over a clear brown (SRM 25) body.....nose is roasted malts with chocolate, vanilla, slight hop notes......taste is mildly sweet with roasted malt tones, vanilla, slight herbal notes, minimal bitterness. Mouth feel, medium body, no alcohol, moderate carbonation. This is quite simple and drinkable

Jaybird75 (52) - - JAN 31, 2021
UPDATED: JAN 31, 2021 Poured from bottle to glass and the color is dark coffee in appearance. The aroma is of vanilla, coffee and earth. The taste is vanilla upfront with a coffee and cocoa finish. It leaves little aftertaste and doesn’t really have that lingering taste that porters are loved for. This is a good beer but not really representative of the porters that I love.

tightslice (2689) - Austin, Texas, USA - DEC 20, 2020
UPDATED: DEC 20, 2020 Bottle from HEB in Austin, TX. Aroma is bark, roasted sticks, mild earthy vanilla. Taste is dry wood, earthy vanilla, light cocoa but all very thin and underwhelming.

UPDATED: OCT 2, 2020 Great beer for those Wisconsin winter days. Although it may not warm you up it will get you drunk.

FinnIckler (1463) - Berlin, Berlin, GERMANY - FEB 1, 2020
UPDATED: FEB 1, 2020 Bottle, thanks Becca. Nose is coffee, faint vanilla, bread. Palate is similar, maybe a bit watery.

Foxbush (3019) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JAN 27, 2020
UPDATED: JAN 27, 2020 12 oz bottle Huge disappointment! The porter poured with a big tan head then quickly dissipated to nothing with no lacing. Fizzy opening but flat thereafter. Some vanilla and lightly roasted malt on the nose. Light body and flat carbonation after 3 minutes. The taste had only some thin vanilla and maybe some roasted malt.

Andrew196 (2455) - Katy, Texas, USA - DEC 26, 2019
UPDATED: DEC 26, 2019 Pours the color of cola with minimal head. Nose of vanilla, marshmallow and toast. Kinda comes off the rails from here...cardboard, toasty root beer, a bit medicinal with a zesty vanilla edge.

NikkTwist (4993) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 20, 2019
UPDATED: NOV 20, 2019 Draft at Fado. Nearly opaque very dark brown pour with clear copper edges. Small but lasting coat of camel foam. Not much lace. Tastes of cheap dark chocolate and vanillin. Slight roast. Not overly complex. Feels more like a Brown Ale.
