UPDATED: JAN 10, 2022 2020 bottle. Deep brown with a beige head that fades to a coat. 3+ Malty and woody aroma with brown bread, dark sugars, cherries, balsamic vinegar. Quite sharp to the point that it detracts a little from creamy texture and softly woody notes. Acid only lingers at the tip of the tongue and there's a little bitterness at the end too. Pretty good in a style I'm a sucker for.

UPDATED: AUG 4, 2021 Bottle (packaged in 2018) shared at Csakajó. Pours an opaque, lighter brown with off-white head. Nose is funk, acetic acid, malts, leather and earthy notes. Taste is moderately acidic, somewhat funky with malty hints, showing leather, esters, earthy notes and berries. Closes with an acidic, funky finish, has a light to medium body and soft carbonation. Decent, but a bit one dimensional.

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2021 75 cl bottle @ LTM Takeover in Huikas '21. Batch #993: Produced 23.03.2020 Aroma has red wine, mild sourness and blackcurrants. Flavour has tart berries, sourness, redcurrants and red wine. Oud bruin is still not my favourite style.

UPDATED: FEB 4, 2021 Bottle from The Situation, served at home in a tulip glass. Red colouor, almost no head and no lacing. Aroma is woody, bretts, vinegar, caramel, dark and red fruits, a bit of cocoa. Medium body, creamy texture, flat carbonation. Sour finish. Taste is sour, a bit of vanilla, dark and red fruits, vinegar, caramel, grapes. Very good.

UPDATED: NOV 18, 2020 Musty rendition. Looks good, does not smell so good. Quaffable and not super infected.

UPDATED: JUL 20, 2020 Solid ass oud bruin from OG masters of the game. Apricot, tobacco and some dried plum. Solid balance here. Something that comes at you from many unexepected levels and stays with you long enough to remember how things went right in the wrong moment so well. Murky brown pour with good head. Tangy, light bitter barrel finish. Bottle held for a while I brought back from the homeland.

UPDATED: APR 28, 2020 Colore mogano scuro, schiuma avorio fine e persistente. Aromi di aceto balsamico, Brett, frutta rossa, uva rossa, vino rosso, legno, malto. Vinosa, con corpo medio e carbonazione bassa. Attacco fruttato leggermente dolce, finale lungo, secco e delicatamente acetico. Oud Bruin ben equilibrata, discretamente complessa e aggraziata nelle sue sfumature. (75cl Bottle, 2017)

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2019 Piana obfita, ale gruba i nietrwała. Barwa rubinowa, klarowna. W aromacie klasyczny Flanders - czerwone wino, ocet, stare drewno, troszkę waniliny i karmelu... W smaku kwaśne, lekko cierpkie, lekko mineralne, jest wyraźny ocet balsamiczny, wino, taniny od beczki, w tle odrobina słodyczy w postaci czekolady i wanilii... Średnie wysycenie, długie, intensywne posmaki. Fajne, ale w małych ilościach - na dłuższą metę męczy irytująca octowość...

UPDATED: SEP 12, 2019 Fat @ Muted Horn, Berlin. Brun öl med inslag av rött i stort sett utan skum. Doft och smak av karamellmalt, brettighet, bär- och balsamicosyrlighet. En bra Oud Bruin.

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2019 On tap at Muted Horn. Reddish brown, nearly no head. Brett, black bread, caramel, balsamic vinegar. Very sour, Brett, medium carbonation. Perfect Oud Bruin.
