UPDATED: AUG 24, 2020 Bottle. Black body with a nice, dense, lacing beige head. Aroma has dark malt, hint of Bourbon, coconut and some vanilla. Taste is nice and sweet dark malt, quite balanced coconut, vanilla and almost just a hint of Bourbon with pleasant, warming alcohol. Fine balanced body and long lasting pleasant aftertaste. Nice and solid, quite discrete on the Bourbon.

Olmost black with light brown head - Malt aroma with some roasted notes with some wood notes as well - Malt body with dark fruity flavours and charred wood barrel flavours from bourbon barrels - The wood flavours goes into the finish with some heat from alcohol - This was nice

Bottle. Black body, big creamy off-white head. Nose is bourbon, wood, dark sugars, grains, caramel and hint of coffee, licorice and brown bread. Taste is dark chocolate, coffee, bourbon, bitter herbs and hints of caramel, grains and wet grass. Full to medium body, medium carbonation. A very good BA imperial stout from Lindheim, but I miss a bit more body and perhaps a few more layers of complexity from the original beer, as the barrel aging definitely comes through. Still, highly enjoyable.

Bottle 500ml @ Gnarf
Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, lots of vanilla, bourbon, oak, chocolate and caramel. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long oaky, vanilla, chocolate, bourbon and caramel finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Big beige head. Nearly opaque black body just barely shows hazy deep dark red through it. Earthy roasty aroma with spicy licorice notes. Sweet roasty earthy chocolatey taste with spicy licorice notes. Full-bodied. Smooth, low carbonation mouthfeel with considerable heat. Sweet roasty dark chocolate aftertaste with toffee and caramel notes. Lingering burnt sugar notes. Very nice, and highly drinkable. (0.5l bottle, from wine monopoly, Strømmen.)

Svart med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter absolutt bourbon, mørk sjokolade, kokos og vanilje. Fyldig. Salt lakris, noe bourbon i smak også, kakaopulver og trevirke. Middels lang.

Bottle. A dark brown beer with a dense dark beige head. There’s lots of bourbon on the nose, oak, coconut and booze, with roasted malts, some licorice and a good dash of chocolate. It’s full bodied, warming and smooth on the palate, with a good bitterness. Dark chocolate, some coffee and licorice and a good dash of bourbon. Some piney notes. Really, really long finish. Well done budeia, well done. 170128
