UPDATED: FEB 18, 2021 7 oz. green bottle poured to a Czech-pils glass at Lunar Brewing Co. showing a clear & bright, golden tone, with a moderate layer of soft white froth that diminished to a persistent ring, and light spots of lacing. The nose was soft malt, a light dose of dried fruit, and a touch of corn. Light to medium bodied, with decent carbonation that seemed slightly sulfur tainted, the taste was as the aroma, clean, with subtle grainy & earthy bitterness. Suspicious of green bottles, but a solid session brew that I finally got around to trying.

Bottle (7 oz). Malt aroma. Malty sweetness with a touch of sour bitterness. Light body. Short finish.

UPDATED: NOV 24, 2020 Found out of bottle from a friend. Pours a clear pale with minimal white airy foam. Unpleasant aroma. Really nothing more than a corn mash flavor. Below average for the style.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2020 7oz green bottle from Total Wine. Pale golden, flat. Grainy aroma, corny, slight vegetal notes. Taste is sweet with an oily feel, more corn. Slightly sticky finish.

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2020 Draft to taster at CBF20. I can't believe that I am close to 15,000 rates and I haven't rated this Cincinnati staple. Pours a clear pale golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, general fruit, simple, some creamy character, better than expected.

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2020 Draft to taster at CBF20 clear gold with minimal head. Nose typical cream ale. Taste sweet amlt and light crystal malt. Not as bad as I thought.

UPDATED: NOV 20, 2018 Aroma of malt and 'big-box-beer' hops. Clear medium-light amber (I don't see anything resembling straw as some reviewers noted), white head that stays at a partial cover, bands of lace. Taste is semi-sweet malt with maybe some corn or rice, mil;d hops, and a big enough taste and body to put it above most nat'l brands. On a sweaty day, I could enjoy this.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2018 This beer is adorable due to size, however after smelling it I was hesitant to take a sip. Smelled straight like old grass. Taste has no cream to it whatsoever. Kinda smooth. Very disappointed it comes from my home state Ohio 🤦‍♂️.

UPDATED: AUG 5, 2018 With it's golden color and it's crisp taste, it lacks the creamy flavor for where it gets its name. I bought an 8 pack expecting something that would be a little sweeter.

Poors light, slightly hazy straw/amber color with minimal but lasting head. Aroma of straw, citrus, malt. Taste is bitter and sour... kinda like unsweetened grapefruit. Finishes slightly rank with lingering grapefruit. Not my favorite, probably wouldn't buy again, but makes me wish I could still find Rolling Rock in little 7 oz. cans or bottles!
