UPDATED: SEP 17, 2020 Keg at New Old Lompoc, Portland, OR on 10/10/2010. A really, really good imperial porter. Smooth as heck, with tons of coffee, dark fruit, treacle and dates. Really nice roasty, coffee finish. Great mouthfeel.

An average Porter, with the stand-out feature being the after-taste. Sampled at the Bier Stein.

I’m pretty sure this is a bottle imported in the 2015 Halloween season. A dark black with a thick beige head. It’s got a really good roasty doughy chocolate bun aroma. Medium bodied, it’s got a raspy carbonation and a rich roasty chocolate with nutty notes. A good fall brew with a Halloween name so a nice alternative to spicy pumpkin ales.

[24/12/15] Bottle from Happy Valley Supermarket in Portland, OR: Brown body with slight, mocha head. Nose is chocolate, alcy, vanilla. Taste is toasty, big malts, chocolate again. Hops come in there too. Decent finish. Nice one.

Cola brown/black with a tan head. Aroma is brown and toasty but will emerge as it warms. Taste is tootsie roll sweet and nutty which carries into the finish. Not much to it, but it is easy to drink and neither cloying or alcoholic for such a big beer. $5.5/22 oz ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber 8% from Capital Market. Very dark brown on the pour. Almost black in my goblet. Looked a little thin while pouring. Straightforward roasted malty nose with a little coffee and not much in the way of sweetness. Roasted malty flavor up front with a nice coffee finish. Fairly sweet with a good deal of milk sugar flavor. A bit of a hop kick as well. Pretty solid.

This is the 2014 version; different label, and higher ABV (8%). Seriously, this could easily be labeled as a stout. Strong coffee and chocolate notes, and pretty chewy as well. Recommended!

Bottle shared at california 10k event. Pours black with off white head. Taste is big roasted malts with some sweetness. It was a graveyard smash.

Bottle at Cap Tap at 10 K celebration, hoppy, some water, character limit sucks.

marcus (12679) - Sacramento, California, USA - FEB 9, 2014
At Capitol Beer bottle share. Pours dark brown with a modest beige head and a treacle aroma. There is a medium-bodied sweet malt flavor with a dry finish.
