Slight haze to the medium copper pour, frothy eggshell head, nice lace. Some nuiitiess, a touch of Christmas spice, hint of citrus. Nice spritz to the mouthfeel. Enjoyed this after hiking up and down Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park.
DandyWolfFloyd (1839) - Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 23, 2018Aroma - very mild nose. Malt backbone is preeminent and it's slightly sweet.
Appearance - body is hazy coppery brown. Head is beige and around 1 1/2" and fluffy. Head settles slowly. Some dappled lacing.
Taste - has a toasty malt sort of biscuity. Hops are muted. There is a tannic nature.
Palate - body is medium, texture is smooth, carbonation is average, finish is slightly astringent and some gum soaking through its tannic nature.
rboquist (3) - - JAN 5, 2018 does not count This beer is always a great choice if you don't know what you feel like drinking. Very session-able however it has complex malt notes as well as a hoppy bitterness at the end. I highly recommend if you haven't tried this beer before.
