UPDATED: DEC 28, 2021 Can pour, deep gold color with a touch of cloudiness. Pineapple and button mushroom aroma. This seems like it will be juicy but comes off more like a traditional IPA because of the bitterness, resin and oaky tannin notes really linger at the end of this.

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2021 12oz can. Unfiltered body. Even though it really has an old school resinous IIPA tone, the spelt, oat, wheat thick out the body some, giving it a creamy feel. The taste and aroma are just stale old school hops...the Falconer's Flight flavor at this point I guess. Not impressive at all.

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2021 Pours a hazy yellow with a thin head that laces. Nose is tropical fruit. Body is full. Taste is tropical fruit with a attenuated malt backbone. Bitterness is moderate lingering in the aftertaste. With the use of ancient grain spelt does this make it an ancient beer? Hmmm - 12 oz can in a variety pack Canned on 5/2/21

UPDATED: MAR 17, 2021 Pours a bright gold color. Starts out juicy on the front of the tongue, then the “boom” hits the back of the tongue, but not hard. This sauce was thinner than I was anticipating, so not a satisfying as I had hoped.

UPDATED: MAR 13, 2021 I had it from the can. The aroma is grapefruit, tropical fruit, and hops. The taste is grapefruit, mango, pineapple, hop bitterness, and bread. This is very good. It drinks very easy for what it is.

UPDATED: JAN 13, 2021 Hoppy aroma balanced with malts. Clear orange color with a large white head. Light bitter beginning that's gets slightly stronger in the finish.

UPDATED: AUG 9, 2020 On tap at Haandgemeng. An almost clear yellow colored beer with a short lived medium siced white head. The aroma has hints of pale malts, but it's the piney and citrusy hops that do most of the work. Grapefruit and a touch of orange. It's full-bodied and quite dry, with a pleasant carbonation and a good bitterness. The flavor too is very low on maltyness, with grapefruit, pine cones and some orange doing most of the job. Long finish. Sure it's a fine one, but all the way from the first sniff it felt a bit old. Could it be the spelt causing it? Anyway, I wouldn't shy away if I was offered it again. 171027

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2020 16 oz. can at home, from notes. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale malts, nice hop character showing citrus, pine, floral and light earthy character, grass, white grapes, resin, mild bitterness with some sweetness, overall nice DIPA.
