Fat Angel, rest his soul, had a complex palate that balances the rich pleasures of malt with the crisp refreshing flavor of hops with a finish that is fresh and clean. Eminently drinkable, Fat Angel brought divergent tastes together to create a satisfyingly smooth harmony.

UPDATED: MAR 28, 2019 Found out of can from Ingles in Waynesville, NC. Thin white lasting foam on a orangeish haze. Enjoyable and easy to drink. Fine spring option.

jrodooo5 (2411) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - MAR 5, 2019
UPDATED: MAR 5, 2019 A fine beer surprisingly. Pours well enough - burnt orange w/ a white head & messy lacing. The aroma is lacking w/ just some malty notes standing out. The flavor is a bit bland - malty w/out really any sign of bitterness. It finishes fairly clean & goes down easy though. Honestly, not bad!

UPDATED: NOV 29, 2018 Pours cloudy golden with a thick white head. Aroma of yeast and bread. Taste has earthy notes as well as a sweet honey aftertaste. Palate includes spices and carbonation. Good ale.

Can from son in law. Slightly darker than yellow clear beer. Foamy head. Slightly more like a bitter than a pale ale but what the heck. Not as bitter as a pale ale but the hops are there. Hey, I have an inkling for magic hat and this is on par with that feeling. Not bad.

Metalchopz (5735) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - APR 1, 2018
Slightly hazy amber colour with a big off-white, long lasting, fluffy and full of thick patchy lacing. Hoppy aromas over caramel malts. These hops turn on a greener grassier note, which is less appealing than what it was at first. Flavours of milder hops with some fruitiness from the malts. A regular decent Pale Ale.

Quite interesting and not so thin in shape. Nice aroma and not so bitter as some may have expected.

From May 2007 Compliments of jwc215. Thanks, Joe! This pours from 12oz bottle a clear bubbly amber with a good head of foam that remains for the entire session and it has good lacing. The smell is *very* fruity and has some floral notes. The taste is very fruity up front...mainly pear; then it gets a bit earthy and has some hop spice come into play and finishes on the bitter/dry side. Interesting flavours but they don't work together all that well for me and I'm having a tough time finishing my glass but...I'll manage. I'm still glad I got to try it.

Clear amber pour with an off-white head and decent retention. Light lacing. Light hops nose. Taste is non-descript. Pedestrian pale ale. Very light caramel flavor with minimal hops finish. An APA light? Not bad.

Pours a dark almost brown. Reminds me of an English bitter. I like this beer a lot. Malty and hoppy in balanced proportion. Crisp in the fijish

12 oz. bottle into a shaker pint. Pours dark amber with a 2 finger off white head which recedes to bits and pieces of lace. Biscuit and earth on the nose. Semi sweet caramel malt and biscuits with butter and honey flavor. Medium bodied. Pretty good.
