COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed primarily with local Blue Ox Malthouse malt, and Mosaic, El Dorado, and Sabro hops, we are excited to bring you Wolfe’s Neck IPA. Throughout its history, the Freeport, Maine area known as Wolfe's Neck has been a diverse ecosystem including organic farmland, white pine and hemlock forests, and a salt marsh estuary. A gift to the people of Maine and its visitors from the Smith family, Wolfe's Neck reminds us of the importance of protecting land for future generations to experience and enjoy. Wolfe’s Neck IPA is brewed in honor of this special place. We hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we do!

tightslice (2689) - Austin, Texas, USA - DEC 20, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 20, 2021 Bottle from Whole Foods Market in Winter Park, FL. Aroma is citrus, light pine, grass, melon. Taste is grassy, pineapple, dry grapefruit, lemon zest. At first I had trouble distinguishing this from some of their other stuff (Lunch, Peeper)…but the subtle grass, pineapple, and melon really come through as it warms. Less bitter grapefruit with an equal measure of light fruity juiciness and dry citrus peels.

UPDATED: DEC 6, 2021 500ml bottle - grabbed at random. Like the other Maine Beer Co IPA's - simple and delish. Nice beer

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2021 Ever so slightly hazy golden and peach coloured body with a thick, three centimetre tall nice off-white head that leaves an odd, lopsided head on top and on the sides. Aroma of bright oranges, light grass, some citrus fruit, a good deal of sugars and some more tropical fruit notes - very nice in the nose. Medium-bodied; Assertive orange and mango flavours show up at first with a big bite of sugars and tropical fruit notes and a light touch of grassiness and some floral aspects, but this is purely fruity, with a good kick of malt to provide balance. Aftertaste shows a lot of fruits, especially the mangoes and the oranges with a light grassiness and a good balance of sugars to couple with the malt and heavy hops. Overall, a very nice and fruity beer with a good hop kick, but no real bitterness nor alpha acids that come from the mix, with a nice balance from the plentiful malts and some light herbal notes as well, but this is pretty fruity and enjoyable throughout. Overall, a nice and fruity, balanced IPA with some nice hops, but no pungency at all and no real bitterness, coupled with a good malt smoothness to get it all down. I sampled this 50 cL bottle, purchased from MOM's Organic Market in Alexandria, Virginia on 19-October-2021 for US$7,49 sampled in my hotel room here in Hampton, Virginia on 26-November-2021 after seeing Christmas Town here in Busch Gardens with my family.

UPDATED: OCT 7, 2021 Draft. Poured hazy amber color with an average frothy white head that lasted with very good lacing. Moderate to heavy cpmplex hop aroma. Medium to abundant body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. This solid beer met my expectations.

AWISLguy (5965) - Wisconsin, USA - SEP 24, 2021
UPDATED: SEP 24, 2021 500ml bottle from Vintage Estate. Bottled 6 weeks ago. Pours a fairly clear golden orange with a bit of a white head. Aroma has some hops; sweet, fruity, and tangy. There also are sweet malts and grass. Taste is of sweet and tangy fruits, light sweet malts, and grass. A bit subtle, and clean in the typical Maine way. Finishes tangy grassy sweet. 14.3
