COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Woods & Waters IPA is a special, small batch beer, brewed to commemorate the establishment of the Katahdin Woods & Waters National Monument. We incorporated Maine-grown barley and wheat from @blueoxmalthouse in Lisbon Falls, Maine, along with generous amounts of American hops with flavors and aromas of pine and citrus.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2022 Bottle. Pours a clear slightly bright yellow with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has some earthy grass and citrus with a bit of pine and a bit of a bready backbone. Flavor has a good amount of grass, with light earthy pine, a bit of citrus rind and a touch of grain backing.

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2021 On tap at the thirsty beaver in Smithfield RI - pairs great with fish and chips and the TB always has a great rotation that includes Maine Beer Co.

UPDATED: SEP 18, 2021 500ml bottle - $7.49 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia. Appearance: Pours a hazed, pale yellow body with a lofty, frothy, foamy, white head. Smell: Clean, fresh-cut grapefruit and little pinch of citrus zest. Slighter touches of pine, peppery herbs and floral peach. Underneath, a lightly milky maltiness hinting, a bit, of wheat. Taste: A nominal sweetness upfront with scant, pale maltiness and touches of crustless bread, turgid grains with a little inkling of wheat. It's got piney, herbal qualities, but the citrus really pops for me and has a good bit of brightness to it. Glistening white grapefruit, grated lemon and a teensy-sized plop of tangy kumquat marmalade. Medium-plus bitterness. A bit of cereal creaminess on the mouthfeel, further fruity niceties and a low degree of dogged bitterness on the finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Has an all-around, light airiness about it. Overall: It's wonderfully balanced, has a pleasing freshness about it and an overall inviting drinkability. With junk beers as far as the eye can see, it's a delight to get a nice one from time to time.

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2021 Bottle from the brewery. Light straw colored pour, fluffy head. Bready, grainy malt bill , almost like a pilsener. Resinous hops. Light bitterness. All their pale ales taste the same with minor differences. But...they’re all good.

UPDATED: APR 13, 2021 Bottle picked up in Hartford but enjoyed in Indy. Straight from the bottle due to a COVID shortage of hotel glasses. What can I say? It’s another great IPA from MBC. Mild bitterness with some tangerines and pineapple. Enjoyable and easy drinking.
