UPDATED: OCT 24, 2019 Taster (0,1l?) from tap at Beer Lovers, Cartagena. Reddish / brown clear color, small tan head. Smells leathery, earthy, some fruity notes. Average, rather artificial smell. Full body, soft carbonation. Tastes of ripe fruits, rubbery, coffee, plastic. Finishes light to medium bitter with notes of plastic, rubbery boots and some coffee. Not a fan of this, very weird, not my thing 5,4,4,2,7

Clear brown beer, standard carbonation, small white head. Strong yeast notes at nose like barnyard and caramel ones as well like raw sugar. In palate it has an oily texture with a medium body, rather sweet flavour as expected for a strong beer, nice sweet aftertaste with a very week hoppy aftertaste.

11.2 ounce bottle that Stacy bought in Columbia. Shows a dark amber like- color. Aroma has tree bark, sweet sugar, very malty. Yep, super sugary with a thin body. Caramel sugar swill. Pretty bad.

Casa Manigua, Bogota. Lovely heavy, darkest amber brown. Good lingering brown head. Complex bitter, fruity aroma. Dark and amber malts throughout. Cherry and red dark fruit skins. Some subtle roast malts too. Fantastically constructed, balanced body between bittering roast grain, dark fruit, some lighter fruit esters and an underlying moderate bitterness. Perfect carb body too. Impressive beer, that floats around several styles (I almost wanted to call this an English Strong for the malt character, but also some Belgian yeast flavor is a twist). Another really nice Manigua effort, putting them at top of the Bogota scene in my book.
