Absolutely disgusting. Without doubt the worst tasting beer I have ever had. Putrid. I was given a free 6 pack, could not get past 1st sip. I have never thrown beer in bin...until now.

I thought it was nice as a desert beverage, and sipped along with 70% dark chocolate, it went down lovely. The chilli is a quirky treat and fizzes your nostrils for a sensory delight.

Who the fuck puts chilli in beer? Its burning my throat out so you cannot taste anything. I’m afraid to go take a piss.

UPDATED: OCT 20, 2016 It pours hazy golden, with no head. Aroma is apple cider and chilli. Taste is chilli, pure chilli. The hottest beer I’ve ever tried. Chilli in a lager, nothing more. I love chilli, so I can bear this, but it’s a crap beer.

330 ml bottle with twist crown cap bought at YATA in MOKO, Mong Kok.

Clear pale amber colour; Virtually no head with residual soapy white foam which fades in 5 seconds; No lacing with notable slight carbonation; Pungent and sweet smell of malt, with very strong red chili powder, wet cardboard, pear-like essence, floral, sugar, lemon and light grass; Medium sweet taste of light malt, with fiery chili powder, light wet cardboard, soda, sugar, lime, medium bitter hops and light grass; Light body. Watery and hot palate; Mouth feel is light lager maltyness in a very thin background, fair enough for a specialty beer but then the fiery hot chili taste instantly kicks in. The heat is almost like a typical vindaloo, but not hellish or mind-numbing enough to blind other tastes such as wet paper, sugar, and limey bitter hops. Still, taste cheap and not pleasant… Hoppiness is floral lemon and light grass in nose. Lime and light grass in taste; Bitterness is moderate to medium for an abrupt, mid astringent hot chili finish; Quite dry after taste. Red hot and fairly bitter to mouth.

Comments: I am a spicy food lover and have a pretty high tolerance of chili and heat. Despite brewer’s kitchen sink approach, its chili heat is still bearable, but otherwise nothing tasty other than some lime and sugar. Pretty empty really other than showcasing the chili, not a drain pours but I won’t try it again.

(Bottle) Pours hazy pale amber with no head. Little aroma - hints of cardboard. Light and fizzy. Hard to judge taste because tastebuds so overwhelmed by first contact. I think there was a little soft sweetness, and then very firey chilli heat, particularly in throat and back of mouth. Further tastes suggest green chillies, but the heat builds rapidly, destroying ability to taste. Two sips and everything burns and I am sweating under my eyes. Completely undrinkable.

Bottle. Pale unclear brownish orange, no head. Aroma of ground bird’s eye chiles, cider vinegar. Very light bodied. Taste is all chiles and better ones than suggested by the smell. I remember making chile vodka in the 80s by putting a handful of Thai chiles in a bottle a waiting a month. This tastes like that. I guess you could put it in a marinade but it’s not a good drink. How does this beer still exist? - good graphic design, a financial interest by Woolies and an endless supply of numpties.

No perceptible aroma. Clear pale yellow colour with no head. Doesn’t really have much taste it just burns! A lot if chilli and might be ok if you’re looking for a novelty beer, but not something you can just enjoy...

330ml bottle into schooner glass. Aroma is chillies,tomatoes and wet paper. looks like amber water with a few bubbles. Taste is ALL chillies, there’s no discernible beery bits. Actually it’s not chillies,it’s chilli powder. Aftertaste is just numbing stinging heat. Too spicy to be fun. The only beer that needs another beer to wash it down.
