COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A crisp, flavorful pale ale brewed with 75 pounds of rolled oats. Columbus, Citra, Mosaic and Centennial hops give this beer an invigorating hop aroma while the oatmeal provides a smooth, clean finish. Consider this the love child of our SPA and Double Oatmeal IPA.

Tap. The look is see through with a slight haze. Light straw colored. The smell is classic west coast, hoppy, fruit, nice. The taste is bitter, dry, crisp. Solid.

On tap at McFate, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out herbal and dank hops, and dry biscuity malt. Flavour brings out the best of Cascade hops, with herbal and dank hops, and crisp biscuity malt. One of the better Cascade pales I’ve had.

Tap. Pours quite hazy golden, small off white head, decent lacing. Aroma is Citrus, passionfruit, melon, some dank leaves and pot. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, dank and resinous. A bit of a bite to it. Medium body, soft mouthfeel.

Although the alcohol is different I think this is the same basic beer as the pale oat pale. It’s quite hoppy, smoothed out by the oats. Awesome.

Lightly hazed gold color with a thin white head. Spicy hops, biscuity malt, pineapple, mango. Lightly creamy, bitter hops, citrus. Really nice!

draft at brewery, a thick strong body with moderate fruity and piney hops. The hop flavors blend hard and get a little confusing. Moderate bitter finish.

On tap @ Fate. Pale golden pour with a white head. A ton of grapefruit and orange on the nose. Pine, some grass, and a touch of lemon peel. Some bitter pine and grapefruit peel on the tongue. A lot of grass, orange pith, and cracker malt. Slight kumquat as well.

DesertDevil (699) - Arizona, USA - APR 21, 2014
On draft at the brewpub. Clean aroma of alfalfa, pine, and wet citrus with a hint of ammonia. Pours a very light straw color with a frothy, eggshell-white head. Crisp taste of fresh-cut hay, pine, a barely detectable oatmeal creaminess, and a very bitter finish. Lovely light palate; very easy-drinking. A sessionable baby brother of the Double Oatmeal IPA.

Light gold pour with a small white head. Aroma is very hop forward with some citrus notes. Lightly creamy, bitter hops, citrus.

Tap at Fate. 2 bechers plus 64oz growler tanked. Pours bright ultra clear straw with dense white foam. Great retention with soapy lacing. Ultra dank hop nose with pineapple, fresh grass, cantaloupe. Taste is essentially a pilsner it is so crisp and grassy. Powerful bitter grapefruit white and grass mowings explode with sourdough cracker. Incredibly snappy, sharp as hell pilsner through and through. I’m not sure how they accomplished this but damn. Maybe turn this recipe into a pilsner. Perfect AZ summer quencher. Outstanding.
