COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Keg and bottle: Unfiltered.
The base beer is the Wheat Grand Cru with raspberries added before secondary fermentation.
Raspberry Grand Cru has a vibrant red colour and a fine white head. The beer has a full raspberry fruit nose, a balance of sweet and sour fruit on the palate and a wildly refreshing zesty finish.

Beese (12774) - Tooting, London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 10, 2019
330ml bottle in 2012. Murky pinkish orange with a halo of white head. Aroma of mild raspberry, boiled sweets and yeast. Fake fruity flavour and not well Measured tartness, with real lack of body.

Bottle. Pours a murky orange body with a small white head. Aroma is wheat, raspberries, lemon acid and hints of pale malts. Taste is caramel, red berries, wheat and hints of grains, straw and cereals. Medium body and carbonation. Meh. Not much raspberries, but fair enough beer.

330 ml can sampled in 2007. Slightly unclear, deep golden/orange body with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma is light fruity with a hint of acidic berries. Flavor is mild and acidic raspberries and not so much more. Medium body and aftertaste. Not really bad. but not a hit either.

hughie (3997) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 2, 2012
My first beer since Christmas, to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. Orange red colour. I rather liked the aroma: sweet and jammy. Taste is fruity with a touch of sourness and a pleasant dry finish. Not the world’s greatest fruit beer, but after five months of soft drinks, it was bloody good.

Pours like a cloudy orange-red soda. It either has no head whatsoever or I looked away briefly and it dissipated completely. No nose to speak of and it tastes like soda water with a hint of dry raspberry. Not dry as in a pleasant tartness, just not sweet. Very disappointing.

Sigmund (11541) - Tau, NORWAY - JAN 2, 2012
330 ml bottle, as Meantime Raspberry Grand Cru, from Vinmonopolet Vika. ABV is 5.5%. Very cloudy peachy to brown colour, large to moderate off-white head with a peachy hue. The aroma has strong notes of ripe and over-ripe raspberries (no surprise). The flavour has also notes of raspberries, but not as much as some Belgian fruit beers, and is not overly sweet. Refreshing wheaty notes, hints of citrus. Nice enough to drink, but not worth the price.
