UPDATED: JAN 3, 2021 As the label says - light in body and taste. Bright & bubbly, pretty inoffensive stuff.

UPDATED: JAN 27, 2019 Bue aux États-Unis. Ici au Canada nous n'avons que la Ultra. Très franchement, je n'ai pas vu une très grosse différence. Peut-être un peu plus goûteuse, mais rien de majeur! Cheers!

12 ounce bottle from the big case purchased at Liberty Beer in Pittsburgh. Pretty good, nothing to complain about. No pretensions here.

Sweeter than the average pale light lager. A little caramel, but mostly a stale fruit flavor.

From old tasting notes. Pale yellow gold color. Creamy white head. Fragrant chalky malt aroma. Light grainy malt flavor upfront. Highly carbonated. Slightly sour midtaste. Light hop finish with a brief dry aftertaste. Flavorful for a light beer.

Bottle. Malty aroma with a light sweet corn taste. Watery mouth feel. Very good after golf beer.

@Lexington, Kentucky. Not much to say, except that it went down as a chaser.

What can a guy say about Michelob Light? It’s a light yellow colored, white foam capped, pale lager that has been mass produced for 40 years. They were big on marketing to golf when I worked in business, probably still are. I’ve had a few more of these over the years than I care to admit. It’s easy drinking and non-offensive, on par with most of the macros, maybe a little better than most.

Cut and paste all these mass produced beers would have a hard time telling any of them apart

Bottle in the old dining room, at table, just now.
Pours a pale golden, perfectly clear with a small head.

The aroma is mostly sweet malt and dough. Some mild hops are there but it’s not much one to sniff on, reminds me of the all to ubiquitous over sweet aroma from many of Europes most crappy pilsners.

I like the flavor fine enough, it’s got a bit of that sweet breakfast cereal malt flavor I hate, but the herbal hop varietals balance it fine enough. It’s reasonably clean and lightly bitter with a medium level of sweetness. Mild on citrus fruit & "zippy" enough.
I’d say this qualifies as a reasonably strong entry into the world of American light beer.
