UPDATED: JAN 4, 2022 Deep black body with thin white head. Coffee, chocolate, some bitterness. Very drinkable for a high abv.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2021 Bottle from an SAQ in Montreal. Felt like I had to buy it, name feels quite apropos, plus it was Mikkelller and that was enough for a try (Ummm,,, beer geek after all.) Lovely coffee, sweet toasted malt, touch of cognac. Taste some bitterness, lots of toasted malts, moderate coffee, moderate sweetness. Nose is bigger than the taste, but enjoyable.

UPDATED: OCT 28, 2021 Pint can at Lunar Brewing Co. poured to a Czech-pils glass showing a black/brown hue, with a fluffy layer of tan froth, and ribbons & spots of lacing. The nose was intensely aromatic-cold brew roastiness, with complementary silkiness to the malt backing. Medium+ bodied, the taste was similar, with low carbonation, light baker's chocolate flavor & dryness, and roasted & earthy astringency. Satisfies well over the 7.5%.

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2021 Not sure where I got this bottle, but been a while. Still, says best before 2026 on cap. Pours a dark brown colour with some light ruby highlights. The head is mocha-coloured, good retention and some decent creamy thin lacing. Lots of dark fruits in the aromas with mild liquorice, chocolate and coffee. The taste shows the roasted malt, liquorice, hints of coffee and with some nice hops in the finish with give a little grassiness, and good dryness. This cuts the richness of the malt. I do not feel the coffee comes out on its own in here, so maybe a little old, or just well-blended. Not bad, but I guess - was expecting more.

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2021 500ml can. Black with a small brown head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, roast malts, background hops. Taste of quite intense coffee, very roasty and bitter, dark chocolate, caramel, ashy/smoky, finishes dry and bitter. Medium-full bodied, moderate carbonation.

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2021 Mocny aromat kawy i słodów, alkohol całkowicie ukryty, goryczka lekka. Wyraźne nuty płatków, ale chyba po Mikkeller spodziewałem się więcej.
