COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mikkeller Oude Geuze Boon Lambic is a modern take on lambic in the newest collaboration between Boon and Mikkeller. Blending lambic aged in oak foeders previously used for white vermouth, this characteristic blend consists of mostly 2-year-old lambic blended with some 1 year old for bottle conditioning and a touch of 3-year-old. Great for an apertif or with white fish dishes. Collaboration between Mikkeller & Brouwerij Boon

Zlotta (7579) - Hagen, GERMANY - MAY 9, 2021
UPDATED: MAY 9, 2021 0.75 l bottle from 'Sterk Avondverkoop', bottled in November 2017, cellared for about two-and-a-half years. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, sourish, quite funky, moderately fruity aroma of overripe lemon, leather, horse blanket and a touch of gooseberry. Quite sour, rather funky, gently fruity taste of overripe lemon, rhubarb, gooseberry, leather and quite some horse blanket, followed by a medium long, fairly tart, rather woody-dry, quite funky finish. Thin to medium body, quite astringent and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Highly refreshing, really dry Geuze, superbly balanced as always from Boon. Good!

neongolden (3888) - Quebec City, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 12, 2021
UPDATED: FEB 16, 2021 (750ml bottle from the Mikkeller Webshop) Pours hazy pale orange with a decent white head and lace. Notes of nice tart citrusy lambic base with clear white wine, grass and herbal presence from the vermouth, light bright acidity but some contrasting sweetness, lots of hay, softly funky and lightly mineral, good wet woody structure, finishing fairly dry with lemon zest, white grapes, hay/herbs and wood in the finish. Light to medium bodied with nice filling carbonation. A fun geuze with a lot of barrel presence, an interesting brew.

pintelier_be (33) - - NOV 13, 2020
UPDATED: NOV 13, 2020 Yellow with white (not stable) foam. Wet cellar, and also vermouth aroma. Quite delicate in the taste and fresh (not harsh) acidity. Good geuze because of its delicacy.
