Nice fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet boozy, chocolate, raisins, minerals, toast, fruit stones, alcohol, caramel malts, bark, soil, oak, burnt caramel. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish burnt, weeds, toast, minerals, sour-ish roasted grain, fruit stones, bark, alcohol, paper, soil, burnt caramel. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh sour-ish roasted mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Bottle shared with TO, SE and partly SO at Melkebaren, Sandnes, 16.12.17. Ebony. Persistent pale brown head and lacing. Fine aroma of cigar box, dark chocolate, roasted barley and vanilla.

Converting ticks to ratings. Had this at Borefts '10 I think. Sweet, malty, chocolate, light hoppy, classic bock-like but quite heavy. Needs a re-rate but wasn't blown away by it.

UPDATED: MAY 25, 2018 Pours a deep golden chestnut with light lacing and minimal carbonation. Aroma is rum raisin with hint of clove. Taste is nuttiness, with a sweetness and a spiced flavor. Finish offers no inkling of booziness. This is a tasty beer, but a very sneaky one. Take your time finishing it.

750 ml bottle from Tavour. Nose is caramel, butter, and a hint of char. Clear dark rusty red with a medium lightly lacing beige head. Flavor is lightly sweet with a hint of bitter and a mild alcohol warmth. Not my favorite doppelbock but OK.

Pours brown, quite dark in glass, creamy tanned head. Smell of dark fruity malts, toffee, dried fruits, hints of toast, some bread. Heavy sweet, dark delicious malts, toffee, hints of chocolate, some toast, dried fruits and nuts. Quite inviting, a very nice beer

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a thick beige head. Aroma of caramel, raisins, toffee and dried fruit. Flavor was thick and creamy with dried fruit, caramel, chocolate, coffee, raisins, toffee and rum.
