tightslice (2689) - Austin, Texas, USA - APR 6, 2021
UPDATED: APR 6, 2021 Bottle from Duvall Market in Austin, TX. Aroma is prunes, maybe black beans, chocolate, something like vanilla but not quite (and a bit odd). Taste is dry roasted coffee, very dark and bitter, some tang, mild ash, dark chocolate. Aroma is a bit strange but the ashy dark bitter roasted coffee element was amazing. Another Mikkeller weird one that somehow works.

coachd (2388) - O'Fallon, Missouri, USA - AUG 31, 2019
UPDATED: AUG 31, 2019 Very complex aroma. Spicy, vegetal, lactose and chocolate. Pours dark brown with a very dense dark brown head that takes forever to recede. Taste is very vegetal, the cocoa plays well here, I could have used more chili spice. Decent palate, bigger than 6.6% ABV would suggest. Interesting.

CanCrusher (1706) - Ilirska Bistrica, SLOVENIA - JUN 28, 2019
UPDATED: JUN 28, 2019 Bottle 0,33L. Black color with huge, frothy, light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, cask wood, licorice, cocoa, slightly peppery and spicy. Taste is moderate bitter with chocolate notes. Few moments after spicy and chilli touch comes out. Very interesnig combination, but stilll ballanced and very drinkable.

nearbeer (7699) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 9, 2019
UPDATED: MAY 21, 2019 33 cl. bottle, bb 14/10/2019. Pitch black with a dark brown sponge of foam. Aroma is dark chocolate with notes of smoke, charred pepper, licorice, graham cracker and marshmallow. Flavor is earthy cocoa nibs, roasted chili, blackberry syrup, prune, mild smoke, oregano and a bit of almond. A hint of cured tobacco in the long finish. Medium-plus body is silky smooth with almost medium carbonation. Excellent balance from the additives against the big dark malt presence. Perfect beer; wish I could afford to make this a regular.

chucklemation (2764) - Royal Oak, Michigan, USA - APR 16, 2019
UPDATED: APR 16, 2019 Pours a jet black with a tan foam head. Aroma is chocolate, bitter roast, molasses, anise, chile, smoke, and it seems like a whole host of other things. Flavor is sweet chocolate, molasses, dark fruit, smoke, earth, and, again, other things I can't quite identify. The body, unfortunately, is a little bit thin and flat, but otherwise this is a very interesting and well-done beer.

3.2
WortMeister11 (235) - TAIWAN - APR 3, 2019
UPDATED: AUG 26, 2019 Aroma: coffee, dark chocolate, spice, wood Appearance: dark brown color topped with a 3-finger brown head with nice retention and lacing. Taste: coffee, dark chocolate, spice, wood, some smokiness and noticeable chili spiciness in the end, medium sweetness, medium-high bitterness with long duration. some piney hop in the background. Palate: full body, low carbonation, noticeable burning sensation part of which may come from chili, long dry finish Overall: Spice flavor reminiscent of Chinese herbal medicine variety balances well with the dark malt character. Chili addition imparts some burning spiciness. It is an interesting beer despite its low drinkability.
