Beer5000 (9502) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 16, 2021
UPDATED: NOV 16, 2021 Backlog April 2018. Unclear orange golden body under a thin off-white head. Fresh and fruity aroma with ripe fruit and acidity. Taste is dry and sour with fruit/berries and light pale malt. Fine body and tart, acidic aftertaste.

Cristobal37 (2249) - Tustin, California, USA - FEB 20, 2021
UPDATED: FEB 20, 2021 Bottle pours orangey colored, a little haze, ring of head. Taste and aroma both fresh sea buckthorn, that distinct bold bitter (like a cranberry) and citrus character. Medium tart sour, great pairing with the berry. A great oaky sour beer, especially if you enjoy sea buckthorn

Brigadier (4590) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 1, 2020
UPDATED: DEC 1, 2020 375 ml bottle A lingering orphan in the cellar got its chance to shine recently. Even with seven and a half years of aging it remains a funky tart experience. Hard to easily categorize, this rather unusual lambic carves out its own niche in the world of sours. AROMA / APPEARANCE Sour musty salt water, figs, and oaky berries pair well with the core of dusty chocolate. The cloudy caramel base supports a pillar of supple ivory head. FLAVOR / PALATE Chocolate soaked in salt water and wrapped in seaweed tickle the tongue. The tart dry texture flows freely over the palate as it moves to the biting finish. A few seconds later bursts of vinegar splash across the throat. The muddy aspects remain sharp and crisp even now. While a bit expensive this definitely deserved its place in the cellar for the last few years.

dfearnley (3422) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 28, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 28, 2020 Aroma is caramel, roots, and malt vinegar. Taste is funk, acid, roots and lemon. A bit too puckering for me.

scirtes (1032) - POLAND - MAY 13, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 13, 2020 Bottle, bb 30/09/2024. Dark amber beer. The aroma is weird - sweet, candies, caramel. Taste is sour, with a fruity aftertaste. Strange.

Dedollewaitor (19875) - Odense, DENMARK - MAR 17, 2020
UPDATED: MAR 17, 2020 Bottle @ Mikkeller, Odense. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Funky and dry. Puckering. Warming. Alight popcorn and acetone. Atringent. Not the most refined in the series.

dnicolaescu (3909) - Chi?inau, MOLDOVA - DEC 3, 2019
UPDATED: DEC 3, 2019 Cloudy amber, creamy white head. Regular lambic funky acidity, some nice pickles, not much fruit, no nutty seedy funk. Moderate clean lambic sourness, a touch of malt sugars, kinda juicy for a lambic. Probably some seabuckthorn tannins hit not much from it otherwise.

floydian1 (1901) - FNQ, Australia, - OCT 4, 2019
UPDATED: OCT 4, 2019 37.5cl bottle with BBD 9/7/23. Cloudy deep amber colour, dense off-white head settles to a firm film. I get dominant aromas of sweet red berries with musty farmyard, damp wood, lemony citrus, apricots, and white wine vinegar. Tart and sour palate, fruity (apples, berries, stonefruits), woody, vinous. Medium bodied, smooth, acidic, astringent, lingering flavours. This is noticeably more sour and tart than the other Mikkeller Spontan beers I have tasted. Complex and satisfying.
