UPDATED: NOV 19, 2021 Purchased in a 24oz can at a gas station. Didn't bother to pour it. Taste is decent. Light at first with a bitter finish. Charcoal, bourbon, vanilla, bitter hops, smoke. Smooth and highly drinkable. I remember it tasting better out of a glass bottle, but apparently everything is in cans these days. Mouthfeel is pretty good. Smooth with nice carbonation.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2021 If it’s the only beer in a Mexican restaurant other than corona or coors light, it’s the best choice.

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2021 Old Untappd checkin, January 23, 2016. Brown glass bottle. Deep amber color, small head, translucent appearance. Sweet caramel aroma. Sweet malt flavor, smooth finish. An excellent dark lager.

UPDATED: JUL 3, 2021 If you like sweet dark beers like I do this is the beer to drink. Very easy, no bitterness, dark rich color but the beer doesn’t overpower whatever you’re eating. I always keep some in the beer fridge.

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2021 I had this at Global Brew. Pours brown with a tan head. Taste sweet, malt. I thought this was ok. I could drink this again.

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2021 Old rating from 2013 - 355ml bottle, pours light caramel with a tiny off white head. Aromas & tastes of caramel, toffee, lemon, toasted bread & sweet malt. Moderate body. Slightly sweet finish.

UPDATED: FEB 27, 2021 Not a dark beer, but darker. Really flavorful. Best of the Mexican mass market beers. Robust flavor. Foamy. Easy drinking. Smells great.
