Hur gärna man än vill öppna sinnet och försöka se skönheten i odjuret går det inte att komma ifrån att den här kombinationen av julkryddor inte är bra - varesig i eller utanför öl. En översköljande smak, och arom, av sötma och kardemumma slätar över alla försök att skapa midvinterstämning. En usel vinter som vi för enkelhetens skull skyller på klimatförändringarna.

Bottle. The colour is deep reddish brown with a creamy beige head. Well carbonated. Very spicy aroma of cardamom, cloves, dates, dried fruit, forest floor, oak and heather. The flavor is similar with lots of cloves, oak and coffee in the background. Has a slick and soft mouth feel, medium body and a light to medium bitterness. A well-spiced ale. Nice if you like this kind of beers.

Bottle at Kverneriet, Tønsberg. Copper body. Slightly orange to tan head. Ginger, gingerbread, cloves, cinnamon, chocolate, roasted malt and some hops. Bitter and sweet. Medium body. Medium to soft carbonation. To quote my american friend: "Christmas in a bottle." Good!

Aroma; rose-cinnamon floral scents, vanilla, caramel, notes of camphor and pine candies. Look; beige tallhead, deep ruby rose body. Taste; caramel, floral flavours, malts, hops, spices, almond - leading to a malty fruity dryish finish. Feel; okay, ok body. Overall; nice herbal sipper. Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. Delt med djoeye på Nerstranda 28 Jul 16. Mørk amber. Høyt, litt farget skum. Aroma av kamfer. Smaken kamfer & furunåler. Lite variasjon.

KØLF 180316. Dark amber colour with an off-white head. Flavour is spices, cinnamon, malt, hop, ginger, fruit, caramel. Weird beer.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, reddish amber with a tiny, beige head. Very typical X-mas spice in the nose, loads of cinnamon and clove. Medium body, sweet caramel and spices with an edge of ashy roast. Not really a pleasure to this rater. But perhaps if you enjoy spices galore on a Dunkel base. 270416

330 ml bottle. Clear amber body with a big, creamy off-white head. Aroma is spicy dominated by ginger. Flavor has sweet malt, ginger, slightly soapy (in a nice way), some caramel and moderate bitterness. Fine balanced body and rather long lasting, spicy aftertaste. Quite nice as a spicy Christmas beer.
