BillKismet (4650) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JAN 4, 2022
UPDATED: JAN 4, 2022 Melanoidin red-amber body with an airy beige-tinged head. Sweet, fruity and candi malt nose, with some toastiness and touches of cough syrup. Fruity, caramel, toasty, and cough syrup notes through the body. On the sweet side. Sticky finish.

Brentv (813) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 17, 2021
UPDATED: SEP 17, 2021 From bottle. Pours a rich, deep, red/copper with a 4-finger beige tight-celled foam head that leaves thick rings down the glass. Aroma and taste of plums and dark fruits, toast, and all the Belgian good stuff. Sweet. Full mouthfeel.

batneil (1052) - Oregon, USA - JAN 17, 2021
UPDATED: JAN 17, 2021 From a bottle at home. Pours a chestnut colour, with an off-white, lasting head. Aroma of Male and burnt sugar. Very fizzy. Taste matches aroma, with a slightly bitter aftertaste. (K)

Fatehunter (3481) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - JUL 7, 2020
UPDATED: JUL 7, 2020 A brown body with a light tan head. Aroma is caramel, brown sugar, grass, and plum. Taste has a mild fruit sweetness, grain bitter. Texture is thinner. Not particularly complex, but a tasty drink.

jbruner (8524) - Lakewood, California, USA - JAN 5, 2020
UPDATED: JAN 5, 2020 Pours a clear golden brown on tap with bubbly khaki colored head that dissipates to leave moderate lace. Aroma of nice toasted and caramel malts with a mild ester base, dark fruit and light spice. Taste has more of the malt sweetness without being cloying, esters to back it up, and a mildly bitter finish. One of the best dubbels I have ever had, hands down.

ricke49 (277) - La Pine, Oregon, USA - JUL 6, 2019
UPDATED: AUG 4, 2020 Rich brown color. Very malt forward. If you’re a fan of non-sticky-sweet, bready, brews. This is definitely something to try. Faint sweet raisin. Nearly ‘hop-less’. Smooth drinking with well subdued alcohol (for 7.2 abv). A fine supper.

slowrunner77 (19086) - Reno, Nevada, USA - FEB 12, 2019
UPDATED: FEB 12, 2019 mahogony brown with khaki head. Bready spicy nose with a little caramel and bread. Slightly over-carbonated body. Pleasant flavor with pronounced yeast and malt.

JStax (10651) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - NOV 10, 2018
500 ml corked and caged bottle from Tavour poured into a stemless wine glass. The beer is a clear ruby color with a big head of foam. The aroma has toffee, banana bread, and a subtle citrus that in the taste, adds a fruity, lighter acidity. Malty and fruity sweet taste. Bigger body and moderate carbonation. Soft mouthfeel.

3.2
Reid (3322) - Salem, Oregon, USA - NOV 10, 2018
500ml corked and caged bottle from Lifesource Natural Grocers in Salem OR $7.99 A ferocious pour no matter how careful i am..3/4 glass full of creme coloured thick bubbly head..below the monster head its a nice chestnut brown beer. aroma is fruity..sultanas, plums, banana and a litle earthy...Also getting a bit of ginger and toast. Taste is much the same except for a wee bit of chocolate and a large dose of candi sugar,.. Mouth feel is fine..could use more carbonation to cleanse the sweetness. Not the best attempt at the style..a bit of a let down to be honest
