UPDATED: APR 4, 2019 This is definitely more of a spring or summer beer...perfect for the 80+ degrees March heat in Florida. Sampled this with an early dinner pairing. Not bad for a seasonal, but not a big fan of this style. Slightly better than the average beer. An unfiltered cloudy wheat with a paleish yellow appearance. Flavors of wheat with some mild fruit, lemon or orange zest, etc. Reminds me of Hoegaarden.

Old rating. Definitely kind of standard wheat with a bit of a sour finish. New Belgium yeast taste abound. Drinkable.

chinchill (6213) - South Carolina, USA - APR 9, 2017
12 oz can from NC in SC. This slightly hazy golden ale is milder than expected. There’s light tartness, only faint spicy notes, and a mild aroma with no banana. Crisp, light and refreshing.

Listigovers (2149) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 23, 2016
Golden and cloudy, thin white head. Small aroma, a bit of sweet malt and subtle tartness. Taste is similar to the aroma, mild straw sweetness and light tartness for refreshment. Not very punchy, but enjoyable enough, the flavour grows over time.

Cajun (609) - Lafayette, Louisiana, USA - SEP 15, 2016
Bottle - Pours hazy gold, white head. Aroma of fruit medley and wheat malt. Tastes of a fermented wheat bread, a fruit juice blend, and a mild bitter hops finish. Some hints of pineapple aftertaste.

Pours a light golden color. Pretty hazy. Hard to notice carbonation because of the haziness. Poured into weizen glass, so gives nice thick three finger head. Poofy and white, looks like a cloud. Even so, doesn’t last long. Reduces to light film with clumps. Decent splotchy lacing.

Aroma is actually reminding me of Belgian ale. Wheaty, banana, slightly sour. I smell coriander, light pepper. Light floral hops. Maybe a touch of lemon zest.

Taste is cracker, banana, light pepper. Slight citrus tartness, maybe like a splash of lemon juice. Not very complex, but pretty tasty.

Mouthfeel is light and slightly dry. It’s easy to drink, and refreshing. Decent carbonation on the tongue. It’s also a little salty on the swallow.

Overall this is pretty good. It’s not complex, and it’s easy to drink. It’s a summer beer, after a hot afternoon you’re not going to want to sit and ponder too much on your beer. You just want to drink it. It fits the bill. However, I’ve taken the time to ponder for you. It’s good, but you know that by now. Nothing amazing, nothing special, nothing spectacular, nothing to brag about. Average wheat beer, but it’s worth trying. I would probably buy it again, I would recommend it, but only as a refreshing beer.
