"Some people paint, some sing, others write… I brew". -Daniel Carey A few times a year we will cut Dan loose to brew whatever he chooses, uncensored, uncut, unplugged. Always handcrafted, the bottle you hold is brewed for the adventurous soul. This is a very limited edition and we make no promises to ever brew this style again. Sparkling and bright this is a Wisconsin original created for you in the traditional method employed by the Lambic Brewers of Belgium including five months of outdoor resting in oak barrels. Indigenous yeast and cranberries from the “wilds” of Wisconsin flawlessly pair to dance on your palette. You have discovered a rare and delightful treasure to be served cold in a fluted glass. Thanks for supporting the arts, Daniel and Deb Carey

Dogbrick (17956) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 14, 2019
UPDATED: JAN 14, 2019 This beer pours a slightly cloudy dark red color with a medium fizzy off-white head that burns away steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Tart berry, yeast and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of tart cranberry, slightly funky yeast, oak and doughy malt. The finish is tart with a cranberry aftertaste. Pretty good beer all around.

(Thanks, Drake! "Drake") Bottle. A- Cranberry, funk. A- Dark pink color, hazy liquid, minimal head. T- Cranberry, acidic, tart. P- Light body, average texture, slightly effervescent carbonation, tart finish. O- Vintage 2018 and drank fresh. Sorta wish I would've sat on this and seen if it ages like a true lambic can. Pretty tasty. More sour as it warms. A bit of funk definitely balances out the sweetness.

UPDATED: JUN 14, 2018 Nice aroma of fresh berries and some musty barn. Deeper rose color with thin white head. Tart up front with berry sweetness mixed in. Cranberries and raspberries followed by tart spikes throughout. Sour/tart at the end with a reprise of sweetness.

Bottle to snifter (2018 vintage; shared with the Mrs.). Looks good; a lightly hazy pale cranberry with fizzy eggshell head that dissipates into thin lacing fairly quickly. Smells of a nice balance of cranberry, oak, and funk with lambic-like qualities. Tastes like it smells, but more sweet and fruit-forward, and less complex. Still good though. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied and mildly tart. Enjoyable.

Ktwse (6833) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 27, 2018
Pours clear red with low white head. Aroma of cherries, cranberries, citrus, grass, cracked garden branches. Taste is mellow tart up front, followed by an almond icing-esque sweet finish, lingering cranberry tart. Light and crisp body with average carbonation. That mid way sweetness in the taste throws me off a bit, otherwise this was pretty great.

Scipio (2133) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - APR 22, 2018
Pours a bright red with a medium, slightly pinkish head. The aroma offers heavy tartness and has strong cranberry, apple, and mild oak. The taste is full of sugar, and this perhaps even overshadows the potent amount of tartness in this one. Cranberry is easily the dominant flavor, while undertones are lesser earthy malt, oak, and apple. Long and healthy cranberry aftertaste. Medium bodied, thinner in texture, and some good fizzy carbonation. This is very tasty, but its just a little too sweet. I feel the sugar sticking with me the more I drink this. But still quite enjoyable.

balloonbuffoon (1125) - - NOV 18, 2017
12floz, 2016 edition, bought September 2016 for $3 as a single, poured into a tulip glass where it appears an orange-red color with a beige head. Lactic is in the house, I can smell it - berry fruit and dank. Everything just comes together well for this beer, better than my perceived first impression from a year ago. This can settle in well with New Glarus other fruit offerings, because it is done similarly. Yet not as sweet as the Red and Raspberry that I'e tried before. Tart and tangy, lemonade and dried cranberry are flavors that hit my palate with a good deal of effervescence. I like a good fruit beer that is sweet and lightly sour.
