Orangish color, white head, some retention and lacework. Aroma with notes of resin hops and grapefruit. Flavor with a decent bitterness, grapefruit and orange zest. Bittery final with dry mouthfeel.

From Apr 2008 My first New Holland beer, thanks to joe1510. Thanks Joe! This one pours a slightly hazy orange gold with a 1 finger head of foam and some decent lacing. Head retention is average...just a fine broken layer after a few minutes. The smell is fairly light to me. Some citrus, some caramel malt. The taste has notes of caramel malt, citrus, pine, and earthy hops, and finishes with a bitter bite. Mouthfeel seems to be medium, carbonation is also medium. Interesting flavours here but I don't feel a real harmony going on with the malt and hops. It just seems a bit rough for my tastes but I'm glad I got a chance to try it.

Very good India pale ale. Nice malt level. Slight oxidation may be due to age of sample? Good beer. EnJoinable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

PhillyCraft (11988) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 26, 2016
Backlog, 12 oz bottle with an orange appearance and cloudy white head. Smell and flavor of bitter centennial hop, pine, honey, malt, and resinous oranges. Medium in body and mouthfeel. Some grass as it warms. Not bad for off the shelf.

Solid IPA; great logo and packaging. Nothing overwhelming about the taste. Hoppy and bold but a bit too much aftertaste imo.
