CaskKeep60 (1) - - OCT 3, 2020 does not count UPDATED: OCT 3, 2020 Just FYI, this beer contains blood orange. I had to call to find out what the fruit was in this beer, because my friend with fruit allergies had a reaction. So yay, real fruit ingredient ... unless you have a fruit / citrus allergy. Too bad ingredients don’t have to be listed on alcohol products. Such a gamble for people with allergies.
benpickens (685) - Madison, Alabama, USA - DEC 29, 2019UPDATED: DEC 29, 2019 Pours a dark ruby red with little head; roasting aromas on the nose; cracker palate with off-dry palate; decidedly average.
Jabah (2479) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - MAR 12, 2019UPDATED: MAR 12, 2019 Not bad. Actually one of the best Newcastles that I tried. More like a brown or ESB, as 'Blood Red Ale' is a little deceiving. As long as you have that mindset and not expecting the world, you should be ok with this.
nybol (4383) - DENMARK - MAR 11, 2018En god rund maltsmag, med en anelse røgsmag. Fin bitterhumle i efttersmag..
Maits (860) - ESTONIA - AUG 23, 2017Clear dark copper with small dirty white head. Aroma is caramel, malts and little rye, fruity. Taste is sweet malty and light bitter. Quite thin feel, but descent drinkable beer.
alexsdad06 (16451) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JUL 24, 2017Bottle at home because a family member thought I needed it, from notes. Pours a dark amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have caramel malts, a hint of spicy rye character, mild fruit, some metallic notes, forgettable.
tysongillmore (362) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - NOV 21, 2015Nothing exciting. A little on the watery side. ---Rated via BeerBuddy for iPhone.

CryptLiquor (8) - oakland, California, USA - OCT 18, 2015 does not count A rather cheap seasonal from Newcastle with caramel notes that sometimes get in the way, reminiscent of their better known brown. Deserves a higher rating than what some other users provide, though it will not satisfy any serious beer drinker.
TorbenJensen (1877) - Valby, DENMARK - SEP 17, 2015Superb foam that will last a while. Lovely inviting aroma of dark toffee. The flavor is malt characterized by dark caramel, roasted malt, a little hazelnut and candied. Oatmeal, I do not have the big expertise, but the taste of a little bread must be due to oatmeal. It just contributes to a little more distinctive and aggressive malt flavor that makes this ale to taste something richer than the 4.5% alcohol else had put in expectation. Hop bitterness is moderate and restrained, just such as an ESB should be. The finish is medium dry and very low carbonation is completely in line with how the British ales should be.
DANEgerous (100) - Texas, USA - SEP 12, 2015A rather odd one that goes from an odd oatmeal stout to caramel. It swings from bitter to sweet in a form that feels very imbalnced.
