Roasty dark malty and herbal-grassy, piney, hoppy aroma, spicy notes of green onion, dark chocolate. Taste is sweet-ish chocolately and bitter roasty dark malty, piney, grassy and slightly fruity bitter hoppy, hints of chocolate and orange, resinous hints of spruce and coffee. Can, 44cl, bought @ YNWA, Kolding. Pours pitchblack with a fabulous, dense, creamy beige head. Aroma is an explosion of hops, resiny, citrus, grapefruit on top of mild roasted malts, licorice and coffee. Medium to low carbonation, fine dry and super creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is wonderful and powerful. There is malty sweetness, some licorice, light chocolate. Lots of resiny hops with citrus, grapefruit and peach mixed in. A well-balanced viniousness warms appropriately. Simply: powerful and balanced; hard to achieve.
