UPDATED: DEC 12, 2020 Pours clear mahogany with a two finger, light tan head. Aroma is spice, dried fruit, and hops. Taste is raisin and cinnamon, moving to light allspice and hops. Finish is raisin and hops.

UPDATED: SEP 2, 2020 Keg at Beermongers, Portland, OR on 24/09/2010. Caramel, lightly toasted malt and spicy nose. Full bodied with a nice grainy flavour and some dried fruit hints.

UPDATED: APR 8, 2019 Bottle at home. Dark caramel with a residing thin head. Scent is mild rose ale. Taste is consistent mild caramel and toasted malt. Finish is creamy and smooth. Very good.

12 ounce bottle from Utah State Liquor Store. Dark pour. Brownish A lot of spice to it. Nutmeg. Yup. Spiced.

Bottle. Poured a brown color with amber edges and a small sized off white head. Toasted malts with caramel.

Bottle. Pours as expected, a meaty reddish brown with a frothy tan head. The aroma is big, laden with sweet malt. Same with the drink ... thick with roasted malt, cooked sugar, maybe a little dark fruit. Surprisingly light in body. (#6914, 1/2018)

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2018 dark ruby with thin tan head. pretty strong vanilla aroma. malty start with nuts and vanilla and dry finish with stronger hop flavor.

Dark brown. Good toasty malt, some earthy hop notes, hint of pine. Carb slightly too high, but otherwise fine. Draft at Gilly's in Rockville, Maryland.

Nice frothy head, disapears quite quickly,. Dark brown. Roasted and sweet malts, moderate to high bitterness, smooth finish. Medium body.
