UPDATED: NOV 24, 2021 Bottle. It pours a very dark brown body and a small, dense beige head. The aroma is quite heavy, with some smoke notes, lots of dark dried fruits, some woody hints, booze and a good dash of roasted malts, some coffee and dark bread. It's full-bodied, lightly warming and with a nice, smooth carbonation. Roasted malts, burnt hints, toffee-ish sweetness, treacle and smoke notes, dark dried fruits, prune and figs, and coffee notes, some alcohol, a faint note of wood and some brown sugar in the flavor. Everlasting sweet, vinous and roasted finish. A really delicious one, well worth a revisit if possible. 211124

Pours very dark brown almost black with a beige head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, alcohol, wood, caramel and hint of dried fruits and peat smoke. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long warm, caramel, dried fruity, woody and smoked finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

UPDATED: SEP 12, 2021 Aus der Flasche (bottled 26.04.2021/bbe 05.03.2031) im 2021-09 getrunken. Diese dunkelbraune Bier hat eine schöne beige Schaumkrone. In der Nase fällt eine deutliche Aromen von Malz, Karamell, etwas Trockenfrüchte auf und man kann eine ganz feine Torfrauchnote entdecken. Am Gaumen stehen diese Aromen auf einen richtig kräftigen Körper. So ist im Glas ein wunderbares leicht süßliches, klassisches Barley Wine. Traumstoff!
